1. I play that track too, and I use a 5 string and I never feel the need to go onto the B string. Not sure where you would use the open strings?
2. For sale my practice amp Warwick blue cab 30, very nice sounding and with a tilt back option. It’s been with me for around 3 years and it has served me well. But living in a converted flat where you can hear everything means I need to practice with headphones. So I’m not using it that much and I need to clear some space. The missus says so So up for grabs for £75 plus shipping but i'd prefer collection from on or around Sevenoaks Kent Thanks David Ps: Pictures are stock but mine looks just like that one.

4.
Is it a slow news week or something?
Probably...I was a bit late to the party..
5. As someone pointed out earlier, in Europe (i'm portuguese living in London) there's a massive control on drivers. Each summer around 200 people die of bus/truck related accidents. I used to work for a company back at home and we used to receive lots of trucks everyday. You won't believe how strict their rules are. Drive 4 hours rest 1 Drive 4 rest 8. And there's no way around this. Fines are HUGE both for the company and for the driver. More often than not the bus/truck gets stooped and only gets out if. They pay and sometimes if the truck is from the same country where the offence was comited they will order that a new driver steps in until charges are cleared. As for Marcus comment on the website the company will never admit they are wrong, oh and police in Spain is usually though, but they are not famous for being corrupts.
6.
thanks for your input guys, lol i don't mind the back breaking, been use to that with my old peavey rig! and i shall remember grille ^_^ but if anyone does know or find a 8x10 RR for sale let me know please!
I had a 2x10 ampeg and decided in one of my "bright ideas day" to order a flight case for the cab. Result it weighted a ton and was too cumbersome to carry around, and the wheels are usefull when you play in places with even floors and with no steps. I sold the cab and the case shortly after.
7. Our drummer was strugling also with Sex on Fire, but he finally nailed it and now gets a massive reaction every time
8. On the affiliate subject. If you type in Bass Chat on google the first thing that comes up is Alex's forum , how does he do that, I don't know. You need to ask him. And it's down to marketing, as some of you are aware Alex has published adds on Bass Player, Bass Guitar Magazine, and he's giving away a cab in a competition and sending one other for people to try out. It really depends on how you market it and how much you want to be heard. As for ACG I became aware shortly after I joined bass chat on the general section when someone mentioned their interest so I think the OP just overlooked them, easy to do when you have ten thousand brands coming out every month. As for they basses they are not my cup of tea
9. One word springs to mind. Idiot. Well done on packing and saying farewell
10. I'm an active guy, but I do have the choice of the passive one, but in order to use the switch one would need to be able to adjust the gain in order to make the most of it.
11. She is a monster. I really would like to have been there.
12. CAB NOW SOLD..............MOVE ALONG
13.
How loud do they go? I really need something like the B2 sounds to be, but I'd need to get some moderate to serious volume out of it.
Last week on Thursday it was raining like crazy and we were playing outdoors with two guitar players and a loud drummer and lots of people cheering and I had volume to spare. Is this loud enough? Oh we were playing rock. Killers KOL type thing
14. You described it just right clean tone, detailed and punchy. Its's a great combination of uncoloured gear it's all about the bass and the fingers or pick for that matter
15. Cab on hold until Monday.
16. Buyer bailed out yesterday by not showing up. So the cab is still for sale. although I have someone interested already just waiting confirmation that they want to pull the trigger.
17. I have a soft spot for Elixir they last me over a year and I just like how smooth they are in my hands. I love 'em
18. I try not to be nervous but some idiots from the music shop just stay there staring at you, like you are going to decide on buying that Music Man in less a minute. I went to a shop once and asked to try the Music Man sub series, the basses where hanging high and the guy tells me "are you going to buy it or you just want to play" and I turned to him and said I don't know I haven't played it yet. I played the bass for about 5 minutes and the guy came over again asking if I was buying. Needless to say that I didn't and the shop closed shortly after. Wonder why What I find most annoying is people who think they can play in a shop at the same volume they play a gig. And if someone else in the shop is louder than them they will just crank up the volume
19.
How did I not see this before? Would have loved it.
If it doesn't sell tomorrow I'll let you know.
20. Sale pending until Thurday.
21. Bump for a great cab
22. I have an F1 and vouch for it. Comparing to the LMII I'd say that F1 is quicker responding and with less colouring. So if you don't really like your bass sound flat this amp will only amplify it. I'd go as far as saying that this amp is the one with less colouring in the market. Saying that you can always shape the sound with the EQ. I love it to bits, and heck you are selling it for a dam good price I'm sure it will sell very soon.
23. When you have someone coming from the crowd and compliments everyone in the band shaking their hands and just bypasses you. It happened last gig.
