  1. That looks wonderful!! Very jealous! Si
  2. Yes 1st Gen I believe, I shall add to description Si
  3. SOLD Received this as a part-ex for my Lakland 55-02, but I already have a Jazz 5 so straight up for sale. Gen 1 I believe, based on the spec, good condition, no marks, dents or chips other than a mark/discoloration behind the bridge which I’ve photographed. There is some mild ‘swirling’ on the back and scratchplate, but nothing more than you’d expect from a gigged bass. Neck is a really nice example of maple. Electronics all working fine. Gig bag is pretty decent too. I’d prefer meet-up/collection on this (I’m in Amersham, Bucks), purely as I don’t have a box to pack it up with, but if I come across one, that could change. SOLD Cheers Si
  4. I'm not quite sure how they differ then from W&T? Si
  5. Like the look of W&T basses, not sure I'd buy one, but they're nice to look at. Not convinced on the Pasini side, I'm not sure I get the concept/marketing angle. The metal pickbuard/control plate is the worst part for me. But hey, I think you should get one @ambient SI
  6. Lakland Si
  7. Yeah I’m not fussed about the ‘vintage’ element, but could be good for paring with my Noble. I had a GR Amp that was a similar setup, but the fan was pretty bloody loud. Si
  8. Ah gotcha haha, I see it now! Si
  9. Yeah I really? How so? Si
  10. I’m more interested in the Little Mark Vintage Amp 1000 (the power amp only one), but can’t find any info on it other than on the MB site, no dealers or anything. Si
  11. Haha, no, although would be a cool twin for my 4 string. Would likely be a US 55-01 style, ie two soapbars (Bartolini naturally). Si
  12. I just don't get on with Cherry burst finishes at all, but it's a stunner, put it in tobacco sunburst or a metallic 'custom' colour, and you have me! Seriously considering a US Lakland 55-94 custom (with a couple of Sibob personal touches), but need to sell the 55-02 first. Si
  13. This was mine and is genuinely a very good bass, especially for the price! Si
  14. That’s wonderful!! GLWTS Si
  15. Ooooo, it came! That was a quick turnaround from the last convo!! Very cool! That’s it now, P-bass itch sorted….right!? 🤭 Si

    Price reduction Si
  18. It’s slightly different, similar EQ section I think, but the preamp of the Thump is based off the old Echoplex preamp. I have tried it, and while it definitly has a use, I felt it was losing the Precisions low-end character in favour of the Nobles low-end character. As I say, sounds great, has its place, but not all the time for me. Si
  19. I only had the mini boost version, which I think is very much aimed at guitarists. I definitely appreciate the extra EQ on the Thump! Si

    SOLD

    Done for you Si
  21. Yeah it’s just something I’ve never felt the need for, or when I’ve used one, have noticed a palpable improvement. I very much like having full and complete control over dynamics from my hands. Si
  22. Thanks, already sorted though, see above 🙂 Si
  23. I rarely, if ever, use them together on this board, so it’s not an issue. I could simply swap them around if needed I suppose. I think the only stacking I do is Fuzz into Chorus. Si
  24. Made a couple of changes for the better I think. Swapped out the TC Spark for the MXR Thump, WAY more functionality of course, and I do love the MXR bass range! The Thump is actually marginally smaller than the Spark too, which has allowed me to swap out my COG Knightfall 66 Mini for my custom COG Tarkin, which again, has a lot more functionality on it. Chain is: Bass -> MXR Thump -> COG Tarkin -> Boss TU3W -> MXR Envelope Filter -> Boss OC2 -> MXR Bass Chorus -> Noble Pre -> Amp Si
  25. Oh no.....a bass I've wanted for a while has become available. £2k+ though.....what to do!?!
I should probably go try it and hope that it's rubbish haha

Seems overpriced to me, even by todays inflated standards. Think that was the right call, whatever the reason.
