Steve has just bought a bass from me. From initial contact to saying goodbye at Wetherby Services, absolute star. Decisive, sensible did what he said he'd do, when he said he'd do it. Complete gent & fully recommended. Enjoy the bass Steve & thanks for everything, Cheers, Karl.

Pretty much immaculate as far as I can see. I have ended up (long story) with an Elite & a Deluxe, both white, one has to go. This is the one with the compound neck (C through to D profile) and compound radius fretboard, 9.5 inch low end to 14 inch dusty end. Weight 9lb 5oz Doesn't look like White is available this year (Fender Catalogue) Sorry, no trades & certainly no offers at this price. Bank transfer, cash on collection or cleared cheque thanks, no PAINPal. Collection from Wigan much preferred however if you wish to book/pay for an insured courier (UK only) just let me know day of collection. Feedback linked below. Cheers, Karl.

Bank account primed & ready. Advert written for Epifani & Orange OBC112's Aluminium is just powder coating, often been tempted to get one sand blasted & coated in my preferred colour. A lot of people do that with fishing seatboxes .

@AndyTravis great spot fella. 30 watts (valve or no), are no use to me. If that had been a RM 500 with 4 ohm cab they would already have my money. PLEASE Andy, if you see any more like this, that are practical for gigging, keep us all in the loop. Well done Ashdown & Andy!

Epiphone Thunderbird - disuade me, please. TONESTYLER and SANDBERG CONTENT
karlfer replied to mcnach's topic in Bass Guitars
For a week or two yup. Andy on right, Rod Young middle, myself on left. Not a Tbird in sight. Bought a Gibbo in '96, hideous neck, skinny but deep, lasted a fortnight. Now Explorers, gigged an '84 for 17 years- 162 replies

Yeah, but bear in mind it's simulation, not the real thing. Pushing the gain with the "vintage" button in gives that bit of grit. The Rick certainly had a bit of his Lemmyness going on. Unnecessarily

Wanted to try these out as I liked the look of the features. First gig last night, wonderful little fella. Usual bass/mid/treble plus a mid cut & a "Vintage" button that is simulating Fender Bassman. Mute, gain & a great big volume rotary on the front. Easy to find on dark stages & I needed it to turn down last night. DI level on back. Singer sound dood very happy! Best I've had sayeth he! Enough power to say the least, the floor was bumping! Gain 10 o'clock, vol 11 o'clock. First set with Mex P/J, vintage button on, rest of dials around noon, fabulous, from nice & smooth on Smiths & Bad Company, to chainsaw on Kaiser Chiefs. All done through tone & vol controls on a passive Mex. Second set, rick 4004C11, flats, vintage off, mid cut off. Dear God, blew me away, from Steppenwolf to Tenpole Tudor to AC/DC, just great tones wherever I went on the rotaries (Rick electrics changed to pan, push pull vol parallel/series, push pull tone/mid cut). And boy did I have to turn the Rick down, compared to the Fender. 1st number of 2nd set was American Idiot, little bit of "dirt" on it. One guitarist turned round, big mouth followed by . Cracking amp, has everything I need & little I don't. Very happy bunny.

A bass I DIDN'T mean to win on FEEBay. Paid £151 for it, drove to collect it. Since getting it, it's been cleaned, new strings, NOS replacement tuner, full set up, markers on the fretboard (can peel off, no residue will be left) & a daft Geddy symbol. Plays very nicely, good nick for a 20+ year old bass. White scratchplate comes with it. ONLY issue I haven't sorted is the tone pot doesn't seem to do much. £5 job if you can solder, £20 with local luthier. I've spent enough time & money on something I didn't mean to buy. NO GIG BAG OR CASE (case in photos for illustrative purposes only). Feedback linked below. COLLECTION ONLY FROM WIGAN sorry. Please, let's not complicate this (unlike on Facebook). It's £200 collection only. No trades, no variation on £200 collected.

Paul has just bought a bass off me. His patience was astounding, putting up with my foibles. Even when there was a bit of a problem when I couldn't make a timing, he took it all in his stride. Great comms, patience, swift payment, an absolute pleasure to deal with. FULLY recommended. Enjoy the bass Paul & thanks for everything.

Can't find a feedback thread for Laurie, so I'll kick it off. Decisive, paid quickly, kept in touch and did what he said he'd do, & when he would do it. Absolute pleasure to deal with you Lorenz, I hope you enjoy the amp & scare the drummer! Fully recommended, an absolute pleasure.

James has just been to collect a bass from me. Lovely bloke, did everything he said he would do, when he said he would do . Absolute joy to deal with, real nice guy & what a player! Thoroughly recommended. Many thanks James & enjoy the jazz.

Comedian Mark You are not alone Ed OK, so to continue. Thorough clean, new strings, set up, replacement NOS tuner (inbound) for the slightly buggered one. Bang on £200 all in thus far. I had some fingerboard stickers from a project I never got round too & a Geddy sticker. I have kept the white scratchplate, simple enough to put back on. I have not as yet got the tone pot done. Not quite sure if it's failed or just doesn't give much variation. Great Precision tone as it is. Anyway, never did Hoppus or Sixx any harm .

As far as I remember there were 1000 of these made in red, white & blues, in a patriotic move after 911. Colours were LPB, CAR, White & either Daphne or Sonic Blue, can't remember which. I know there's a thread somewhere, probably TB, but I can't find it. Traded mine with Dougie Loudon of this parish, coz I'm stupid.

They were £600 new in '95, not exactly cheap (although the last ones got cut to around £450 apparently). One year of production, 5000 globally split between 4 colours. Mine in my avatar. No Mark, interesting the price they are hoping for in Japan.
