  1. You know what it is . 2010 weighs 8lb 4oz. £700 in very basic Ritter gig bag (not the hard case in background of photos). ONLY trades I'm looking at, straight swap for; Maple boarded US Precision or Road Worn Series Sunburst Precision If you wish to organise & pay for your own courier, happy to box it up, just let me know the day it will be collected, thanks for looking, Karl.
  2. Can you lot not read. No. I'm moaning cos it's the same price direct from the manufacturer as it is from the retailer. Then the manufacturer charges shipping which the retailer doesn't. Jeez it ain't that important.
  3. The point is NORMALLY ordering direct from a manufacturer would get you product a little cheaper. Not cost you more. The Barefaced was bought used for £725. In this instance Ashdown's tactics have cost them a sale & that won't be changed by you two having different thoughts to me.
  4. Zombie thread alert. So, re-located to the NE, new band, bit less rock orientated a good bit more laid back. So, got to thinking I'd like to go back to 2 x 210's. Time to re-read the Ashdown spec. Got to the sight & 6, YES 6 colours available for the 210's & only 15kg. So, ordered 2 x beige (they look white on the site). Got to shipping, £658 order, in theory Ashdown getting their's & a retailers margin. £24 bloody quid shipping? Cart emptied! Barefaced Super Twin being kept. (Mind it was very difficult choosing which colour, Shell Pink to match your Flea sir 😂😍)
  5. A couple of people are considering (both elsewhere surprisingly) but currently still available. Cheers, Karl.
  6. I did the second half of Sat night with this. Whilst it's surplus to requirements, it played & sounded great, so, last knockings before removal peeps (and the specific bass I wanted has sold anyway)
  7. Thanks Mr Blake sir, it made rather a lot of people happy last night. Or was that the drink 😙
  8. I have just got an Am Elite Jazz with passive stack knob/series/parallel conversion. Black, black & maple. Hence the reluctant sale of this excellent S1 jazz. You push in the S1 switch & your jazz sounds a lot more P. In practice, I've found the S1 option excellent on a jazz & useless on a P. Only my opinion. Upgrades are SD Basslines pups & string through body Badass 111. Weight is a nice 9lb 1oz. Options; £700 in very basic gig bag, an excellent price for buyer & seller imo. £750 in brand new , not yet left the house, tweed style case (as per photos). No trades thank you (UNLESS it's a Sunburst Road Worn Series P or J) COURIER, fine as long as you organise & pay for it. Just tell me what day it will be collected. Any trial in Darlington, your rig or mine, no obligation. Will meet up within about 60 miles of Darlington. Apologies for photos, since moving back to Darlo we have no garden & there's all sorts of weird reflections in the garage . Cheers, Karl.
  9. Bought new 6 months ago, at £550. Barely used as left band in north west to re-locate to north east. 555 watts, mute, mid control, vintage control, VERY sensible master for those on stage tweeks. These guys explain it better than me https://www.chicagomusicexchange.com/listing/epifani-piccolo-555-bass-head/3981737 This is a bit half hearted, but having joined a new band, I really think an Orange Bass Terror with my Super Twin is exactly what I currently need. Extra £25 UK mainland insured courier Any trial in Darlington
  10. Another splendid transaction with Phil, just so easy as ever. Great guy to deal with, and always a pleasure to have a chat with, whether we are hoss trading or not at that particular time. Can't recommend Phil enough, all the best mate. Very interesting gardener going to work story 😮😆
  11. Yes, I know, you said that last night 😆
  12. This is an American Fender with graphite rods & factory fitted BadAss 11 at a couple of hundred quid less than some used Japanese basses, c'mon peeps.
  13. ANYBODY buying this before I get the funds together, will get a visit in the small hours, with a shaped piece of finest willow!😡😂
  14. Jameson & ' Arry, some one trick 😙
  15. It's Highway One with changed bridge. The Highway One has the graphite support rods in the neck, & the "TV" logo, unlike the earlier, cheaper Highway 1.
  16. No trades thanks, I need to actually sell something rather than yet another trade.
  17. Thanks for the PM's folks. All replied.
  18. WITHDRAWN too good to let go.
  19. Try it if you can. I've had a couple. Good in many ways, but; no forearm contour thing, both had pick ups that seemed weak to me
  20. Popped down to see Pete today & relieve him of a jazz. Much musical stuff put to rights & frankly a jolly good chat. Even had Brinsley Schwarz on his screen! Absolute pleasure to meet him & he was so accommodating with me getting"ducks in order" to get down to his gaff. Fully recommended as a top fella me lad (by House of Dwarf Vader). Oh, the bass is bloody brilliant as well 😄 Cheers Pete.
  21. If ( as it implies) it has serial number starting MX8, it was built in 2008. Fender built a decent stock level up late in 2008 as the series were to be released in Jan 2009, at winter NAMM. Only one initial run as they obviously had little idea how they would sell, especially as it was rumoured at the time some US dealers were less than enthralled at the retail for a Mex.
  22. On so many levels Martin. It's been up for 2 weeks now, usually I just let them drift after that.
  23. Splendid 1st run example, made late 2008 for NAMM 2009 release. In the unlikely even of my AVRI FSR 75 going, I'll be on the A1. GLWTS
