  1. Not in the UK they ain't, Vintera up to about £860, the few RW's currently available are £1150 (P) £1199 (J).
  2. Mexico eh. P Bass Special Deluxe Series FSR (over 400 gigs with that now) & Road Worn Jazz
  3. Certainly is. There are 2 folk on FB who are " buying" , one of them this, the other my Road Worn Jazz. If I live long enough for either of them to pony up, the other bass will be kept., & sod the one who gets round to it last!
  4. Tough it out. They were going for £800 or more not so long back. £700 is a relative bargain. I've withdrawn my Jazz, it'll go back up in March at £800.
  5. They'll all be sorry they missed this Ian, when the new stuff comes in at £1400 next March.
  6. I have to say, that brought a big smile to my face. Kill me now!
  7. I came across a Uke Iron Maiden tribute band called Nylon Maiden. I'm still traumatised 😵
  8. https://www.google.com/search?q=boss+wl20+review&rlz=1C1AVFC_enGB850GB850&oq=boss&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j35i39j0l3j69i60l3.3927j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 The 97 reviews linked on right hand side
  9. Any more on this? I am looking to go back to wireless & don't really want to carry power packs, little cables etc, so these look excellent. My only slight concern is one review, where the guy had had a ding dong with Boss. Apparently the rechargeable Li-on batteries will only last 2, possibly 3 years, regardless of use. They are not replaceable, so the whole system has a finite life span. Boss fairly obviously don't advertise this. So, if I'm going to have to replace the entire system every couple of years, I need to know the system is good . I am aware that the tech is likely to get better within 2 years, but that doesn't affect a system I would buy now.
  10. Bass withdrawn Popped up on my newsfeed on FB last night, GAK Road Worn Sunburst discontinued. Another site had Road Worn Sunburst, pre-order for March, £1400, with Pau Ferro board. https://www.gak.co.uk/en/fender-road-worn-60s-jazz-bass-3-colour-sunburst-rosewood/19359?fbclid=IwAR3O2Fvmy8L5MeT1-iLZc81KAOxn0TNsHDfAjv18uYPO5WVyLiI4tJSgFAs

  12. Simply passive, two stacked vol/tone, plus series/parallel micro switch.
  13. Coming to a Maggie's Bank near you in the not too distant future 😐
  14. Yup, good bass, shame they don;t do maple boards. Or perhaps they might ?
  15. Indeed, very good, rather well specced basses. Shame they never did them with maple boards.
  16. @ash I'd found this before, but didn't have time to look last night mate. The REVIEW on this link is very interesting imo https://www.guitar-list.com/fender/bass-guitars/fender-jazz-bass-one-piece-pickguard-cbs-models-1983-84
  17. Very rare 83, these are seriously under valued imo, mainly because so few folks know about them. The AVRI's from this year are now often changing hands at just over £2k.
  18. It's been up two weeks now, at around £100 less than many folk have asked for them in the past. A couple more days & I'll withdraw this. It looks like they are either going to be discontinued, or revamped at a higher price of around £1400 from next year (although there are a couple still available new in the UK at £1200). Unsold in two weeks is usually my time to think nobody wants it at that price. I may just put it up next March at £800 😆
  19. Not wanting to hijack, but.............. My Black/Maple Elite IV had a Ki0gon passive stack knob set up installed, with a series/parallel switch. Not only does it play beautifully but, for me, it just sounds wonderful, organic, versatile and just soooo smooth when needed.
  20. 2 for sale in the classifieds (I would like to buy one but...................
  21. Wey ye canny take a jurk yees lads 😉. Ye need te larn yersel geordie. Cheers marra, divnt be a stranger.
  22. Gorgeous Nik (no, not you, you plank). That's a 70's reissue, most likely a P70US N the US meaning American pups. It will have model type in the neck pocket. Nut width will be 40 mm, same as a Nate Mendel. If my Highway One/Road Worn Jazz yada yada yada....................... GLWTS Edit. Most likely a non export, as most that left Japan had rosewood boards, so definitely less common than the already uncommon export ones.
  23. Well that serious question soon went to ratshit 😆 Had a bit of info slight revamp & around £1400, presumably a NAMM release. Makes sense of the pre-orders for March that I came across, at, yup, £1400
