Hmm, each to his/her own I guess. I've always though of WAL'S as overpriced meh, but many would strongly disagree. Whilst agreeing it is expensive, I have read many a time that Fender Custom Shop MASTERBUILT (rather than team built) carry a large price premium?

Yup, looks fabulous doesn't it. Similar to the Status you had Jack? The Antigua on that looks more like the Antigua of my youth, than the 2012 RI looked. If only I had a spare £2.5k lurking. Somebody's gonna get lucky.

You may have to scroll down a bit. Not on FEEBay, but a Facebook page. Not mine, don't know the chap. Mods, putting this on here for benefit of our members. If not happy with that, please remove. Good luck anybody looking, cheers, Karl. https://www.facebook.com/groups/UKBassgear/
Thanks Karl If I had seen the bass I'm after a couple days earlier they would have been yours too!! How's the Rick working out for you?
What, you mean this ? Pretty damn good so far, have a bump! Looks like I'm back again I still await a Chris Squire, only been about 5 years in lusting. In the meantime, I've just got mega lucky and managed to get this rather splendid 4001 C64 ri (2005)

Perhaps I've missed it but I can see no reference to Martin Petersen or SEI ? I have had 3 SEI's, one made for me (sold when skint, still cry about it now)and 2 used. I have gone down the classic route of simple passive basses now, as after all these years I now know what works for me. However, Martin's SEI's are, IMO, world class. Good luck regardless, Karl.
Might have to give that a go - thanks ! Plan B = I move into the loft with them
Please remember Mark, Wigan is 9 degrees 365 days per annum. Actually, I don't know about your house, but our back bedroom, well the temperature fluctuates there as well, when we are out at work, or overnight in winter.

Bought a superb bass off Wayne last night. Superb, easy transaction from a nice, humble and supremely talented guy. Cheers Wayne (liking the cd as well!)

Fender American Vintage '64 Jazz Bass LPB *SOLD*

Well Mark, prepare yourself for saddo alert Loft has that thick aluminium foil covered insulation on the floor. Basses in hard cases. Hard cases covered on top and sides with excess loft insulation stuff, ie entombed in it. Always worked for me, I had 7 up there at one stage. Only complaint I've ever had was a bass was ply (I didn't actually know as I'd never taken it apart). Nowt to do with loft storage. Shoes and clothes would be equally safe* * that might be a layman's guess.
Shame - if circs were different I'd have had these...I just have too much to pay out at the moment.
You would have been third in the queue I'm afraid. I have had one offer of full price, and one offer of full price but including delivery by me. They were both about 4 days ago but I could not come to an agreement with the chap whose cabs I wished to buy.

Sorry, sold couple of days ago. For sale Fender Precision USA 1999. Excellent Precision, White Blonde/Ivory translucent, ash body, maple board. Slightly scuffed original hard case with truss rod tool, part of hang tag, plus case key . Graphite rods, 9lb 6oz. Truly great condition for a 16 year old bass, couple of rusty scratch plate screws, slight corrosion on neck plate surprisingly . If my other bass goes first, this will be getting kept. Reason for sale, one more bass that had to be bought . Something's got to go. Feedback at bottom of this post. £30 extra for insured courier mainland UK. Will meet up free of charge within 100 miles of Wigan. Thanks for looking, sorry about the photos, but the rain in Spain falls mainly on Wigan Cheers, Karl. Excellent condition, 3 years old, they would have cost around £1250 new, for the pair, including covers. Only up for sale whilst a pair of TKS are on Facebook. If the TKS go, these will be kept. Unusually for me I'm not in a position to courier these at the moment. I WILL HOWEVER, meet up within 100 miles of Wigan to hand them over. Each cab is; 300 watt 8 ohm tweetered 14kgs with Bergantino covers. ANY marks you can see, it's my crap photography! Any trial in Wigan is very welcome, feedback linked at bottom of post. Many thanks for looking, cheers, Karl. There was a bit of a cock up at Fender and some N9 numbers were actually used in 1990! This isn't one of them. My 1999 has a serial number only a couple of hundred after this one. Mine is also White Blonde, but it is transluscent, with Ash body and maple fretboard. IMO this series is one of Fender's most under rated. I've played quite a few of the 96 onwards series and they have all been very good. GLWTS, somebody's gonna get happy!

Obviously £1200 is what they would put it out for, them being a retailer and needing to make a profit. If they offered you £1200 either cash or trade, it might be wise to rip their arms out of their sockets Would be interesting to know where they did their research, as most of us just have google/basschat/talkbass. Good luck, Karl.
