1. Dream bass. What is the weight please Isabass, as most of these are heavy.
2. These were a slimmer 40 mm nut width, between standard J and P, have they changed as not many P's have a slimmer nut? The one I had was a damn good bass!
3. Look, I know I'm old and dim but I'm buggered if I can find the photos? Explain it to me
4. PM'd. It had to be done
5. I would have preferred to sell them as a pair Dave. The chap who bought one, already has Italian 1 x 12 and 1 x 15. He saw one of these as just giving him a lot more flexibility in his gigs, with being able to mix and match. If the remaining one doesn't go, it's not the end of the world. I may trade it in against another bass eventually EDIT. If you would like this cab and have a nice bass you want say £700 for, I might well be able to do both cab and extra money to you. That's because I'm a magpie gear whore Something like an Inca Silver, white, black, Jazz or Precision.........
6. Decisive, great comms, just simply so easy. Thanks Mark, it was great both doing a deal and meeting up. It could not have been any easier and I piggin' LOVE the cabs. Thanks for everything Mark and enjoy the Bongo. FULLY RECOMMENDED, GOLD PLATED GEEZER
7. Bass Doc does seem to be getting referred to a lot on the Facebook page North East Bass Bin, but that's not much use in Exeter, sorry.
8.
If that's so then I might need to drop you a message.
Should I have said "only known BONGO 4....."
9.
That's incredible how quick that went. Nice one!
There was a queue Perhaps it was because it's the only known Bongo without the headstock chip
10. Thanks Dave, very kind One went last night, just one left now, advert adjusted accordingly. To those who have mentioned Indonesian at £355. These are Italian. Apparently Italian ones will not be made for the foreseeable future. The Italian ones were originally out at about £660 street price. The cover was £40 extra. Already, used Indonesian ones are looking at going around the £225/£250 mark, that's a big % loss if you move on a new one. Just my opinion of course Cheers, Karl.
11. Yes Tim, itch scratched I should have known better! Traded now thanks peeps, thanks for all the interest.
12. These cabs were on hold for a week and a half, for a Facebook buyer. He has failed to show up. TWICE So, bump.
13. Thanks guys, good bit of interest already EDIT. Sorry, this has been on hold since 4.30pm. All pm's replied, thanks for all the interest, cheers, Karl.
14. A Bongo was an itch to be scratched. Just got this, gigged it, 24 frets and active are not for me. 2012, single pup, 3 band EQ, weighs just over 8lb, so it's light. Balance is excellent. Very good condition with a couple of scratches and one little dink as far as I can see. Original Bongo case which has a few scratches. £750 cash collected from Wigan is preferred. Because of the value, UK mainland courier would be another £35 including insurance. I AM VERY HAPPY to talk trades, of particular interest would be immaculate US Precision or such as Rich's Baer cabs, or Dave McCombes Berg cabs. Feedback at bottom of thread, any trial welcome in Wigan. Thanks for looking. Now, the dreadful photos! Cheers, Karl. 15. The amount of gear I sell/trade £20 is a bleedin' bargain. Yes, I'm a magpie gear whore, so? Oooooohh, shiny picture, must buy. Bye bye
16.
I'm pretty sure it's a 62 RI as it does in fact have the earthing strip between the bridge pick up and the bridge, it's just hard to see because it's quite similar to the body colour!
Good call that man. Specsavers for me then!. BUMP.
17. At the risk of being wrong (as usual) but is it definitely a 62 RI? I thought they had earthing strips between bridge pup and bridge, on the Japanese ones. The model /colour code should be in the neck pocket. Good looking jazz.
18.
No You are quiet sane Karl
I refute that allegation Rich Bump.
19. Think I'm going insane as could have sworn I read this at £1150 yesterday afternoon. I remember thinking to myself, "enough already, if it's still there after tonight's gig, mail him and get it". Plot lost in Wigan. GLWTS.
20. I know that unfortunately he has been trying to sell it for a long time. Surprising.
21. Just clocked this on Faecesbook, nice. Is it Burgundy Mist?
22. My TTE brings down pidgeons and walls. This must be bloody amazing
23. Not seen it on Feebay or Bumtree, but nice left on this Faeces book page. You may need to scroll down a bit https://www.facebook.com/groups/689090051102626/
24.
THE classic colour / pickguard / neck combination for a Precision IMHO It was seeing the Stranglers and the Ramones that made me take up bass - a nostalgia-tinted bump for a lovely P
Thanks Shaggy, your wonderful and massively under rated Gibson Explorer bass is a nostalgia-tinted trip for me. I gigged a white '84 Gibson Explorer bass, probably same run as yours, for donkeys years. Sold it when I grew too old for it. JUST SHOWS WHAT A TIT I AM , one of the best looking, playing, sounding basses made IMO. Anyway, this 'ere Dee Dee, if it doesn't go this week, I'm going to gig it and bring out my inner Steve Harris! SORRY SOLD THREE DAYS AGO.
25. Very nice Tim looks great. 6.35kgs?
