1. Absolute perfection, IMO. If I hadn't removed my Markbass 210's I would have been busting a gut to sell them and get these. Dave is not just a top class bassist, but a top class diamond geezer as well. Good luck with the sale fella, I shall be watching via satellite for dodgy geezers in trenchcoats and Homburgs at Lanark Lock
2.
Bwa-ha-ha-ha-hah-haaahhh!!
Oh quelle surpris You want to try one of those Markbass TTE 500 Randy Jackson, I think you may enjoy
3. Cheers Gary, done that, waiting for a reply. Thanks to you and Clarky, know what to do/expect now. You two should work in courier management
4. Cheers Ash. I did use to use this as a practice amp, with a Blues Brothers/Commitments band in Scotland. Strange it's not been snapped up. Needs a bit of work with contact cleaner but far from unusable, certainly more than enough power for home rehearsal. So, amp head, speaker, in a box, for less than some sets of strings cost! Funny old world eh
5. First time I've imported something, a Warmoth neck. So it's arrived at Manchester and the tracking now states "receiver to pay taxes or duties on this parcel". Sadly it doesn't tell me how to do that, where to do that, or what happens next. In 24 hours its gone from Fife (in Washington) to Seattle, to Louisville to Philadelphia to Manchester. I now have the feeling it's going to sit in Manchester for a fortnight Anybody with experience of what happens next please? Cheers, Karl.
6. I was GASSING to change my two MB 2 X 10'S and get either 2 x 1x12's, or a 212 (TKS or Bf). Sunday gig, put my new TTE 500 RJ through the two Traveler 102P's, stacked the proper way, not vertically. End of the 1st number, all the rest of the band turned round and in unison stated "that sounds 'kin amazing!" I was a bit gobsmacked as well, removed them from sale that night. Basses, 4 brilliant players, two too many. No GAS
7. Stunning bass. Rarely available. Great price. And I have nothing of value to sell . Good luck, somebody is going to be very happy.
8. 35 watt Peavey practice amp, made in USA IN 1996, 1 x 10. Reasonable condition for age. Fired it up for the 1st time in years, horrible crackling which has almost gone with a few turns of the rotaries. Fairly certain some contact cleaner would sort it but I haven't got any. Good bit of gear for the price, US made. Prefer collection from Wigan as it would cost £17 extra to courier UK. Links and feedback below, cheers, Karl. 9. I have gigged these this afternoon, with my new Markbass TTE 500 Randy Jackson. As the youth would say OMG!!!! Best I've ever used, so fully withdrawn, apologies.
10. What a nice thing to do, well done that Steve!
11. VERY unusually there are two Schro 212's for sale at excellent prices on Facebook at the moment. One near Blackpool, one near Burnley. Daft light and daft powerful. EDIT, doh, and of course my 2 Markbass Travelers (gratuitous plug eventually )
12. Thanks everyone. It's not going to happen due to a lack of interest in my MB cabs on here, and the Facebook dreamers driving me nuts Never mind, seemed like a good idea at the time
13. I have two of these for sale, available from Monday. Light, powerful cabs respected by many folk on forums. Both made in Italy. Both 400 watts, 8 ohms, 2 x 10, approx. 15kgs each. Both with tweeters, both with Roqsolid covers, both in excellent condition, a bit over two years old. Will courier but UK only I'm afraid. £325 each, plus £20 UK courier each. Cash on collection or cleared bank transfer please. These were over £660 each, new, plus £40 for each Roqsolid cover. WOULD TRADE with an excellent condition Barefaced S12V or something else neo with different shape, eg Freddies Berg or Rich's Baers. A bit of cash available to put to deal. Any questions, or trial in Wigan. Feedback at bottom of post, cheers, Karl. 14. Bugger was hoping they were 12's None the less, BARGAIN!!!!! GLWTS
15. Are these 1 x 12's or 1 x 10's please? If they are the 12's are they not 300 watts? Cheers, Karl.
16. Regardless, courier must take responsibility for his actions and live with the consequences. Those seeing it from his side, fair enough, but if he'd just lobbed your 2 grand valve amp over the fence?????
17. Must admit if my 2 Markbass cabs had gone, I would have been looking hard at this fabulous cab as well.
18.
Shows you how completely different it can look with a change of scratchplate. I'd personally rather stick needles in my eyes than put anything tortoise shell related on my bass but that's why Heinz give us 57 varieties I'd like to add that a Yamaha BB1025 and Corvette $$ 5 string to the list of possible trades as well. Any basses offered for trade must be in really good condition as well. I don't get on with scratches of any description and I like my gear to be pristine.
Well, I'll bother bumping your ads again pal. Oh, wait a minute.......
19. Dear God, that is as close to perfection
20. For those so inclined, this is what it would look like with tortie plate (although mine is the passive, later model FSR). To buy mine you will need to wait and discuss it with the executor of my estate! 21. Good luck Ash. I've withdrawn my two, just got completely hacked off with the Facebook brigade with stupid offers and comments. Anyway, not exactly a hardship to keep them. Cheers, Karl.
22. Noooooooooooooo don't do it Delbert. Madness I tell's e
23. Thanks guys. The reality is the particular 500 watt Markbass head, at gigging volumes, will probably have gain at around 3 o'clock, touch of compression, bass, mid, treb around noon and colour also around 3 o'clock. HOWEVER, Master Volume is unlikely to go past 9 o'clock as I do not like bleeding ears Gain up high because it's sounds wonderful there. My concern was that with two cabs, both 8 ohm, one 350 watts, the other 400 watts, that I was potentially going to cause damage to the speakers in one box. Many thanks Bill Fitzmaurice, I know you have amazing knowledge of this stuff for obvious reasons
