    So, the bass rotary on the amp is cut/boost, 15Db around 30 hz. The cab ranges from 42 Hz to 18000. As, by my dim thoughts, the cab doesn't deal with 30 hz, what is actually happening if I cut or boost the bass rotary on my amp ?

    Thanks Ian, PM's replied. In public reply to somebody's comments. It's just over a year old. It's pretty much immaculate. My feedback sort of backs up comments I might make about stuff I sell. It's 21% cheaper than a new one from Thomann and 27% cheaper than a new one from Bass Direct. And I've had 5 enquiries about this amp, yet not a bump from one of them

    Thanks chaps. It appears that it was a bit better than I thought. It's only a part time project, next two aren't until May, one with Sacrilege and then the Rourke's Drift rally. Thank God I have the covers band to pay for the GAS I don't have The Limelight went to a good home .

    Well I found a short term fix by going to the rectangle, second from right, on the bottom toolbar. Clicking select, then cinema mode. Then clicking the full screen mode. SLIGHTLY less horrifying

When it opens, click on "cinema" Then click on the "full screen" Not ideal but slightly less of a hippo.

    Just over 1 year old, TecAmp Puma 500 (500 watts at 4 ohms, 300 watts at 8 ohms). Made in Germany. Pretty much immaculate. Just thinking about going back to a valve pre amp jobby.     Just received a bass from Chris. Packing, well, it was so good it actually looked like it had been delivered from the factory! Chris put a hard case in, with no extra charge, just to ensure it arrived safely. Simply put, superb product, service and bloke. Deal with utmost confidence, top drawer geezer!     Glad the bass is sorted Tom, nice one, enjoy. Now that you are, why not keep an eye out for some of the others mentioned, or indeed put out an appeal on Basschat, so that you can try out some of the other suggestions when you are not under time constraints. For instance, they may be a member in Middlesbrough with something like a Hohner Jack, etc. As has been mentioned, it's not always about weight and some headstocks can bring about relatively big downforce.     He has been trying to move that on for months. He's offered it to me twice as an exchange against £700/£800 basses. He has continually failed to point out that it is a Ray 34, although to A LOT of us it is obvious. Lovely as the work is, he is, IMO, going to be lucky to get £700 more a modified RAY 34, as google searches indicate most sell for a very creditable £400/£450. He annoyed me both times he offered it to me as he came across as a chancer and NEVER mentioned it wasn't a full blown USA Stingray.

    Tom, perhaps a body made for you like Billy Apple's La Cabronita build? That bass weighs nowt. Or any other build with light swamp ash. A surprisingly light bass is the Fender Japan Blue Flower RI. Big neck, but great basses. Gareth has one up for £600 I believe. Good luck mate, thinking of you. Oh, forgot, my new Dee Dee Ramone is a quite light 8lb 5ozs.

    As a guide to Sherwood Green, have a look at the quite new Fender Adam Clayton jazz. Burgundy Mist, personally I prefer the lighter version. Some fabulous pics on Peterbilts Facebook page, including a stunning light mist, maple board, gold scratchplate P Tribute.

    Thanks for all the clarifications Sean, good job that man. I came VERY close to the Okume Gold Top last Monday but I just couldn't mentally justify that amount. So, yours is coming back and a reverse headstock,slim jazz profile neck is getting made by those nice chaps at Warmoth. Nearly a Black Dusty for less than half the price (Warmoth neck's are pricey though, with VAT, shipping, import). Back on topic, pretty splendid amp, thanks for that, cheers, Karl.
