Amazed this is still here. Japanese Fenders are legendary quality, yet Fender Japan currently does not exist. Logic dictates then that they will probably get harder to find with a probable upsurge in price. So, a bloody good bass that is unlikely to depreciate much if an owner needs to move it on? Added to which Mike is an absolute legend to deal with. Somebody is going to get lucky!

As ever with old Precisions, it might really help your sale if you strip it down and take good close ups of neck heel, neck pocket, pots, back of scratch plate, bottom of pick ups. Just trying to be helpful. £1600 is not a huge amount for a bass of this kind BUT it's a lot of money for most folk to find so they will most likely want to be as sure as they can be. GLWTS

Pretty much on hold from last night. These basses very rarely hang around long. Possibly because they have a really good rep.

Get into Newcastle and try one Tom. Only thing is, this being one of the earlier ones it's quite light. Reputedly after the first runs they put on a little weight. On hold thanks. If it doesn't happen I will get back in touch folks. Many thanks to all.

Cheers Mr. Valdemar, splendid bass indeed and reluctant sale, but I just can't miss the chance I've been given. Had a couple of clever dickies on FB have a pop at the price "for a Mex". I know we don't talk price, but it's out at the same or a bit less than the last couple of RW's have been out at, and it does include a hard case. When I sell something to fund the next "I've always wanted one of them" I always try to put it at a price fair to buyer AND seller. They are over £1100 new now, with a gigbag, and used ones rarely hang around more than a few days. I will miss it, but watch out for a NBD next week .

Morning all. I thought I had all the basses I would ever need, none to be sold. WRONG AGAIN I have the chance of something rare and special. This is the only bass I have much chance of replacing second hand, so sacrifice it I must! I hope 4candles won't mind me using his original advert (linked).
