I wouldn't mind checking out that Alesis. Even if hasn't got crazy range, it's great just to get rid of a cable. Cack that it looks to have a harwired cable though... in the wrong place too. Alesis naughty in hiding that fact with a big "new" circle posted over it too. Proper penny pinching in action
Its not bad - but the hardwired cable is a little annoying.
Only a small change today ... I had to take the very cool Starla tremolo pedal off the board - nice at it is I really don't have much use for it in the current band - and replace it with a much more useful TC Electronic Hall Of Fame. The tremolo pedal will have to go to an experiments board at home for the time being, maybe I can come up with something that lets it come back on the main board eventually. I was sitting reading the chain and actually was trying to figure out why the weren't shown! Scrolling down works. Nice board!
Check this thread- http://basschat.co.uk/topic/214429-wireless-systems-for-bass/ It's great that more and more units are beginning to appear. I noticed the Alesis one - not crazy on the pack and cable configuration but for that money, if it works, that's a great system. I wouldn't want to venture far from the receiver but in terms of just getting a cable out of the way, it's got to be a winner. I know cables that have cost more than that Alesis unit! Would be great to hear feedback on the Alesis kit.
I tested in the other day, walked about 30/40 feet and was still working great. I think it could go further. The cables annoyed me, but as you said. - 65 is not bad. Gets one cable away from my feet at least!
I bought woodyratm's Frederics green russian Fuzz, and managed to squeeze a collection in before the depot closed tonight! So does that count? Although I bought it for myself, he did wrap it up nicely for me! an xmas fuzz!
Enjoy man!

Sold a frederics fuzz to Fraser, good guy, good comms - no problems at all. Paid straight away. Cheers man!
Oooooh, what does it do!? And is that image from Metal Gear Solid!?
Yep - it is! Hoping to have a few MGS themed units (Fanboi) - just mailed Tom about a few other ideas I've had kicking around. It's an LS-2 on steriods, switches for channel A then B and the 2nd switch is for A + B with level controls for each channel. Also phase switches too. Sounds amazing with the B7K and Oxide together. Tom's a brilliant dude - and made the whole process easy and painfree (for me at least )

Oh forgot to upload this.

Ohhhh - Now just to hope that Akai follow Digitech's lead and rerelease the Deep Impact

I've bought an Alesis one. testing it tonight.... It was 65 quid (and apparently digital!)

Hey guys, Looking to sell this - bought the wrong one so it's not needed. Sent from the states just last week and has literally been opened, quickly sized on the bass - realized I was a spanner and ordered the wrong size. Looking for £45 delivered since it is completely brand new I'll also trade for the 3/8 version (in black). Ta, Dave

so the haters haven't appeared yet according to the poll.
Get this Fredrics fuzz http://basschat.co.u...__fromsearch__1 and a Digitech Hardwire CM-2 Tube Overdrive (also dirt cheap), and you'll get pretty close to Chris' Animato and Russian muff tone. Maybe buy a Boss LS-2 too, so you can stack the dirt/blend with clean.
I Agree

How long to wait? Custom stuff content.
Got them yet? Or a refund? As by the sounds of it now you'll struggle to get either indefinitely.
Sadly got my money back. Can't say I'd ever suggest them now. Guys like Tom @ Cog are what I want from a pedal builder. -
Using a TRS Cable?
-
Got any friends / partners you can trust?
-
Also the Mooer units aren't generally worth your time I've found. I think the shimmerVerb might be alright, but the rest of the stuff ive tried has been dire.

Cough http://basschat.co.uk/topic/223868-boss-ls-2-and-frederics-green-russian-fuzz/ Muff based fuzz
-
Anyone used the new Alesis yet? Dirt cheap (not normally a good sign) but it's in the 2.6Ghz range - so wondered if it might be decent. I keep falling over my cables but not enough (yet) to warrant 200-400 quid dropped on a Line 6/Stage Clix etc.

Hey guys, Bought this on BC a few months ago, lovely head but I think it's a little too clean for my preference. It's been replaced with a JJ Tesla valve apparently. Scratches on the bottom from previous previous owner. Looking to buy a PF-800 for a change in voice. Pictures from previous user (Jesso hope you don't mind!) Looking for £350 delivered in the UK! Ta, Dave

Looked at Lakland? Darryl Jones or Joe Osbourne basses might be worth a look in.
Are the usual suspects a club..?? I think you do indeed have a group of people who really don't want to read another thread about someone's BF cab as there are already too many saying the same things......and the fanbois are just as irritating a group as the naysayers may be percieved to be,. Wayne dude is right.... the cabs get hyped a lot for something that is a niche product...and not generally known about I could ask 10 bass players about them and I'd get 7-8 blank looks, minimum....and that would include a few bass players in a few shops.
More of a school yard group. A clicke if you will. Also my comment was not just aimed at BF, All i said regarding that was if you like another brand use that. when people ask what cab, yes feel free to add your opinion. Just as those with BF cabs will do... These threads come up so often it's became a little panto. "These cabs are the best" "Noooooo these cabs are the best" "Noooooooo THESE cabs are the best!"
