  1. Defo man. I’ve even taken your advise with the yoga mat!
  2. Meant to post sooner. Mike was awesome and invited my to his house to teach me how to actually setup my basses - including stuff that scared the bejesus. Super patient and amazing. I’m now rocking what he taught me on my other basses. Brilliant dude, great coffee and great craic.
  3. They had mentioned midi was in progress a while back. Then posted this today. I’m making an educated guess 😂😂😂
  4. I don’t think there’s a factory reset per se. there’s a new update due tomorrow which will likely improve MIDI (presuming).
  5. The suite is awful IMO. Fine for loading NAM profiles and IRs… but not much else. Hopefully Darkglass fix it. They’ve been good with updates so far.
  6. I had an anagram (and pretty much every other modeller it seems) and I keep coming back to the QC. Even with parallax now available, I still prefer the tone I’ve made and I’ve yet to find something elsewhere that sounds as good to me. But I do run a complex chain on the QC tbf. Anagram is great and probs would have done the job for most instances. I preferred it to the Fractal FM3 and Kemper stuff. But didn’t knock the QC off. Size of the anagram is ace. I would try both if you can.
  7. Decided to withdraw this. I’ve got one of the active limited (7/25) so they can stay together. 😊
  8. I’d probs do this, especially if it’s a bass you actually like. I prefer my 4 strings drop tuned rather than 5 strings personally (A# standard for me)
  9. I am so tempted by these.
  10. I had an offshore medical when I was younger - like 21/22. The doctor was hugely worried when my hearing test said I was absolutely obliterated in certain frequencies… which marred up to the drummers cymbals. Hearing is still pretty goosed!
  11. This is an amazing price nowadays.
  12. Sold Sam a Darkglass Anagram. Supremely rapid payment and even sent extra to cover me undercharging the postage. Great guy and would proper recommend!
  13. Remind me about September! Basschat get together aberdeen volume 2 😂
  14. Backing track with laptop (which controls our IEM mixes and click track) which outputs to a DI 😊 we did consider a keyboard player, but everyone we spoke with was a bit weird. We decided the synth and band was better as the 4 of us.
  15. Defo take a towel at least. And water. You don’t realise the heat that can be on stages. And you’ll hopefully be having a great time so end up a sweaty mess. Maybe that’s just me. 😂
  16. Yeah - to reiterate, have fun, don’t panic and if you flub a bit - don’t panic. It happens!
  17. Cheers @neepheid for arranging. Great yap!
  18. Great plan. I was gonna see who in BrewDog would look like they played bass. 😂
  19. Very much enjoy this name! 😂
  20. I play in an originals band called The Julian Year… we got told we were “cyber nu-metal”. Still do not know what that means! We’re difficult to classify. We’re not metal enough for metal, but too heavy for rock. Almost an Electric Callboy / Architects / Bring me the horizon / Enter Shikari vibe. Heavy guitars, bass, vocals but with EDM inspired synths. We have existed for about 15 years, and went through line up changes with new names and styles often. Myself and the guitarist have been constant. We then got a drummer who we moved to vocals and he’s been a staple. Currently, we gig rarely. Maybe every few months. Finding gigs is hard! We got played on Alyx Holcombs introducing rock on Radio one. That was cool. We also made a video for that song. Budget baby! you can also find us on spotters, Apple, YouTube and the like!
  21. Initially it was “sorry - prices are needing to go up. You know what it’s like”. Everywhere I’ve seen so far has been about 40-60 - which id have been happy with paying. 125 for the same service seems bit of a kick.
  22. The price was £47.50 in 2022, I was quoted £125 yesterday.
  23. Posted but maybe shouldn’t name. Will PM.
  24. Cheers folks, there is a drastic change on the nut tbf - standard to A#. But that was the exact same back in ‘22. Every bass I get gets the same treatment. String gauge is usually 105 to 135. EDIT: also - there has never been a new nut fitted, always just filled to suit the larger strings.
