1.
Just received an email from Taylor apologising and saying he'd send it today. Hurray. Looks like I won't be needing to take you up on your offer Woody, but thanks so much for the offer. Another example of BC community at it's best!
Mines should be shipped this week or next. Huzzah!
2.
Very kind of you! Thanks. In today's chaser, I've let Taylor know that that I need it for a certain date, so we'll see what his response is. Hopefully I won't need to take you up on the offer, but thanks for the backup plan! :-)
No worries It is just the Standard one, not deluxe though. Just me know if you need it.
3.
I've never dealt with him before, so it's good to know that historically he's reliable. It's just that the initial order confirmation said 3-4 weeks, and I need it for a recording session booked in at the start of October. Fingers crossed!
Also if it doesn't look like it will arrive on time - I can loan you my Xero.
Yeah man - i've previously ordered the oxide with one order, and the Xerograph with another. Just painful since I'm waiting on my polytope, frantabit and nimbus to complete my board!
5. Bought Alex's Fredericks Muff Clone. He got really ill and was unable to ship on the date arranged but kept me up to date the whole time. So no worries! Well packed and all round good guy! Buy with confidence.
6. Tbh I'm probs just worrying over nothing, never been let down before by Taylor!
7.
Well, it's been seven weeks, and still no sign of my Xerograph. I chased up a couple of weeks ago, to be told 'soon' and nothing since. I've chased again today - anyone know of any issues with Iron Ether at the moment?
I'd like to know this too. Been waiting on my IE order for about 6 weeks now... Might go email Taylor.
8. From all this feedback, you would think the OP waited about 10 days to ship! I don't think the OP has done anything wrong - he got the payment late on a wednesday and was shipped on Friday. If I bought something then I would always imagine the item will arrive after the weekend. FWIW - I bought something here in Aug and I still have yet to receive it. I had to contact the seller to make sure all was well to then find out what the issue was. Which I should also add, was/is no fault of the seller I can't believe this has gone on so long?!
9. Yeah I think that time scale is fine. I'd write off the Wednesday night - item ready for sending Thursday after work, shipped Friday.
10. Thanks for the input guys - I decided to build my own (which will be purple like my bass). Got a Gator case which will fit perfectly. Just need to wait for the George L's to arrive now.
11. Hello!
12. Ahem... This isn't the right pickup - it will have the poles covered.
13. Thought about looking at a pedal to cover this base? Maybe the Akai UniBass? or EH Micro Bass Synth? just to add a high octave to your signal? Alternatively, what I do is play the bass line higher - stick an octave (down!) and fuzz on. pretty much sounds like extra layer of instrument
14.
I'm not sure it would be a Samwise thing to do.
If you ever need to build a bass for Gollum, make sure to give him a ring. He gets a bit tetchy otherwise....
15.
Based on all other Mooers I've tried, this will be appealing on paper, but underwhelming in it's application. Si
+1 - really gutting. Saying that though - I sold my old octave thingy to a mate and he still uses it. And his board is veeeery nice.
16. In the sellers defense - It's a very ENTertaining instrument.
17.
I'd Mordor anyone who did that to one of mine.
Dunno like, pretty sure you'd be Gladriel if that happened.
18. You've seen everything? Have you ever seen a man eat his own head? No? Then you haven't seen everything! [/America... F*ck Yeah]
19. I think Panic Music are the distro for Ampeg - they might be able to push you in the right direction
20. You do raise a good point about the awkwardness. I need to get my pedals onto a smaller layout. Time to break out the pencils!
21. Aha it just looked smaller than I thought. http://farm2.staticflickr.com/1423/5147004699_dacf0795dd.jpg Looks like it would fit 5 fine!
22. I think the PT mini might be too small for your needs. Think it fits about 5 micro pedals. Maybe the Jr? I have a T-Rex ToneTrunk 42 for sale which is pretty much the same size.
23. I would never be without some form distortion. I use the Darkglass B7K but it's pricey. The boss one might be a good starting point.
24. I think of it like i'm being paid to do a gig, paid to entertain. So i aim to entertain. Arsed looking like a stone faced statue! I'm going to show that i'm enjoying myself
