1. lots of love, no cash..
2.
Are there any other features people would like at the bash?
loads.. but none of them realistic
3. as said, painfully under-rated basses. i had a 5 string fretless (not heir) that i deeply regret moving on..
4. can't commit yet. but would be a great shame to miss it! if i can come i'll bring me custom shuker, provided i've got round to picking it up from Jon by then
5. i've managed to keep 1 cable long enough for it to die before it was lost/nicked. took it into the shop (no box or reciept) and was given another one without any fuss and was told what acidbass said about them getting free replacements. suprised the guy in the shop didn't sort it out for you
6. no fancy woods and standard construction should be under £1000
7. re. electronics for the OLP. i borrowed back my old OLP and have been playing it for the last few months while my custom is back with Mr.Shuker having some work done. and i've got to say i've forgotten how good these basses sound! i've found that rolling the tone pot all the way back produces quite a fantastic tone that i'd have no urge to try and improve on. so with the added versatility of the neck pickup on yours i'd be very suprised if you found your tonal options to be limiting.
8. fantastic. some sound clips of it would be super fun swell :brow:
9. our studioman has this rig and i'll say whats been said before, great sounding little rig. great price!
10. i'll come and join in with what a lot of other people are saying: when i first picked up the bass and 13, i spent the first year or 2 learning and playing every single RATM song (not that well, obviously). i had a folder with tabs for every song that i covered in pictures of basses i could only dream of owning. bar the ken smith, i've now owned them all and can play the songs much better too!
11. here is what used to be my Overwater: Traded it with eubassix a few years ago, don't know where it is now though. really didn't suit my playing style when i had it. but i know it would now! deeply regret moving it on..
12. yay! good to see some progress being made looking good!
13.
Me and Kiwi both have very similar amps - mine is a 'noname' 800w digital stereo 1u poweramp and kiwis is 1200w I think. You can get them from the states via eBay and the voltage is switchable. Mine is really shallow, like a rack tuner. Amazing bit of kit, full, strong sound and very cheap. Mine was £90 second hand and I think Kiwi paid about £150 all in. I will get a link later as I can't use eBay at work.
i look forward to the links
14. wow, power amp gas!!
15. is there any extra wiring inside the cab? if there were tweeters there then there should be a crossover in the cab somewhere.
16. any rough idea on a price you'd want for the omega?
17.
Their acoustic guitar amps are truly incredible. Never heard or tried any of the others.
+1
18. pictures would be good, thanks
19. the red felt covered ones like this? i may be interested
20. absolutely fabulous!
21. my new 'rig of doom' 2.1Kw output power from amps 1.7Kw power handing in speakers 1.1Kw actually being put into speakers Hartke and Schroeder take care of the low end deffinition, mids and highs. The rest take care of the trouser flapping DOOM!!
22. without a doubt one Tom is one of the very, very good ones! i posted a thread asking how to cheaply mike up a double bass for a one off gig, got sent a fishman piezo pickup and preamp to lend for the gig!! there are very few people in the world who would do something like that (lend something of value to help a stranger), and i'm eternaly greatful! thanks again
