1.
Having just failed to sell two of my basses on ebay, I'm tempted to say that the time of year was probably a factor in you not selling your cab! Had I sold my basses I might have been back onto you for the 106HF!! Still, I though my offer was fair....
Hey dude, sucks about the basses! Your offer was certainly of interest, but I couldn't see me making the money on the 5 string. You will no doubt prove me wrong and sell it for a bucket load in the new year! ;-) Cheers for the interest though!
2. This bass rules and Jazz is the man! Buy this bass... I still want it as well :-(
3. Warwick Thumb BO 5, AND my MarkBass 106HF 6 x 10 cab...? Worth an offer at least... Beautiful bass!
4.
id love this, but i have no money and my whole rig is barely worth what you're asking. Just cant afford it... shame.
I'd take the SYB and ODB as a small down payment :-) Your ABM is not to be scoffed at though bud. Nice gear!
5.
My offer still stands...
Mine too
6.
i've always been anti warwick's - but something is stirring in me lately and I keep looking at every warwick post that comes up on here - they look soooo well made and like they will just ooze tone
And tone they have! Each model really does have it's own characteristics... The thumb has a great low-mid growl and sounds very very punchy. A Thumb through a Ampeg SVT seems to of come a modern rock classic. The thumb to me is the most comfy of the range to play an te curved body shape hugs my not too large stomach nicely ;-) Cheers mcgraham... Kind words go a long way :-) *Quick update... A decent quality padded stagg gigbag is now included as of this morning rather than a £10 cheapy. Better protection and a better deal for the buyer. The case is brand spanking new! Shep*
7. Cheers for all the PM offers guys. I beleive I have replied to all of them. Not after trades still at the mo, but may consider certain effects pedals to knock a few quid off the asking price. Still here for the time being.
8.
(free bump) As Pantherairsoft described at lower setting the distortion is more subtle but as you turn up the gain, the distortion becomes more aggressive. Overall is a great little pedal that I recommend if you look for a solid distortion with a warm bass response.
... What he said :-)
9. I'm thinking the same of letting go my EHX Bass Micro Synth to fund a purchase of one of these. Sounds very very impressive
10. I don't I'm afraid, and I'm not sure I could do any decent ones with what I have here. If you want to pop over to Nottingham one evening though you are more than welcome to have a play with your own bass, or one of mine...
11. Bump. 'May' consider other overdrive/distortions
12.
I don't normally GAS for Warwick, but this is stunning... Plus it's a 5 version which is what I'd want. Out of interest does it come with a Warwick gig bag?
sorry fella... Missed your post! I don't have the warwick case for it, and I am not advertising the bass with a softcase, but as kong as your happy with a fairly basic one I'm sure I can throw one in on the asking price! Shep
13.
Hi pantherairsoft, how's you doing ? interesting stuff you have there. how does your GB sound through the markbass 450 ? really, really curious about this one having read the markbass thread around here. on paper, the options for tone from that particular combination could be spectacular. cheers !
Hi mate. The GB is not yet in my possession... The Overwater and Thumb are and both have great sounds. The Overwater sounds stunning through the Markbass... great top end response! As soon as the GB arrives (in the next week) I will post a review... but I can't imagine it to be anything less than amazing!
14. I imagine, very stingray like... just shinier :-)
15. You don't have the original pick up cover do you... I love the big Chrome brick... when my Thumb sells... I'm half tempted (for old times sake of course) lol
16. Dammit I want my Spitfire.... oh the wait! :-)
17. I used to own one of these (But red with a white scratch plate). Still to this day I don't think you can get a bass this good for the money anywhere. I sold mine for £325 (with the original pick-up) as it seems to be the going rate. I was mad! With a good set up these feel and play like a £1000 bass. The is a drop dead bargain... and one of the finest bass necks ever made!
18.
Shame you're not looking for trades - this is exactly what I want to trade my Thumb 4 string for!
Sorry dude. I'm strictly a 5 man. Been offered a killer trade already as well... But it really is the pennies I'm after Shep
19. All PM's replied to... Cheers for the interest. Still available!
20. SOLD. Hi guys... I have 2 complete 5 string sets of Hartke X-Light's. These are all packed together in a clear sealed plastic bag containing 5 strings. These were a set of 3 and I have used one set, but they are to light for me. Gauge is 40, 60, 75, 95 and 125 Very very bright jazzy tone, amazing for slap pick, but the 75 and 95 are just too light for me, so going back to my old brand. These retail at £40 for 3 sets, so I'm asking £10 per set, posted and paypalled to your door in the UK Shep
21. Hi guys.... As the title suggests, I have a ProCo Turbo Rat, 6 months old and still like new and boxed (no instructions though... it didn't come with any... bloody mail order!). This had a trip down to Max @ [sfx] and was modded with an increased bass level... ala Justin Chancellor (Tool). The result is that the distortion control does very little below 1, but after 3 gives a huge aggressive bass distortion with loads of sustain. Basically it sounds the nuts! At the same time, the jack socket was also replaced with a standard boss type plug so no special adapters are needed to power this on your daisy chain etc! It however does not suit the sound I am currently trying to achieve. i am keen to trade this for a Tech 21 XXL Bass Edition (the purple one) if someone has one and is looking for something slightly different, or will consider selling for enough money to pick such a pedal up. (*SOLD* posted seems fair given the cost of modding a pedal). Drop me a PM for a quicker reply! Cheers Shep
