1. Hi bud, Had a look around at what the Whammy's selling for as I wasn't sure myself. There's plenty on eBay at BIN around £160 but they seem not to sell... Looking at recently sold there have been 4 or 5 sell between £100 and £120 in the last week or so, so a whammy plus £60 seems like a fair ask. Shep
2. Hi I've closed the 2nd sale thread you started. Can I suggest adding pictures to your ad as it will help people drool and lust over the pretty EBS goodness! Shep
3. Hi, Welcome to Basschat. You have already listed these once and a 2nd sal thread is not needed. So I'm locking this one. You can use the edit feature on your other thread if you need to change the details at all. Shep
4. ALL GONE!!! Hi folks... As amazing as it is I'm really not getting my moneys worth out of the FreqBox... If your not sure what it is all the info is here - http://www.moogmusic.com/moogerfooger/?sec...roduct_id=21052 It's basically a frequency oscillator, waveform generator and all round synth crazy machine. For my set up however I'm really using it for fuzzy pitchshift work and so I figure I may as well get something dedicated for such a thing. So I'm asking either £190 posted or trade for a Digitech Whammy (red one as I know the Bass Whammy is rare as hell) with a little cash adjustment my way (or maybe a fuzz pedal as well in place of the cash). The pedal is in fantastic condition and comes with it's power supply. It is not boxed, but the manual can be downloaded from the link above. Shep Pic on my board (bottom right), will get others if needed when at the studio next.
5. Add me in, I'm in Nottingham and I can think of at least 2-3 basschatters that coul try it over a 7-10 day period... Shep
6. Rich bought some Speakon cables from me. Easy transaction. Great stuff. Cheers chap
7. Hi folks, At the Notts Bass Bash before Xmas there was a fair bit of interest in the concept of my 2-piece Dubstep/Electronica/Beakbeat style project and Inpromised I'd let people know when it was leaving the studio. Well, Feb 4th sees us playing the 'Fresh Produce' Dubstep night at The Maze in Nottingham. Thus far we will be the only live band on that night along side a number of guest DJ's specialising in breakbeat and dubstep. So for those of you interested in seein and hearing what we do... And seeing me dancing on more pedals than I know what to do with, then come along!! Shep
8. Cheers for the replies guys. It's just the -1oct that drips volume and all over tue fretboard. I I roll the dry back in it's same volume if not louder... But Oct-1 seems to drop a few db. Cab handles the lows fine as I also have a MarkBass super synth and the -1oct and -2oct sound thunderous and low loss of tone or volume. The OC2 however has a special tone that I have not hear from another pedal. Deliberately synthy. Had both the mxr deluxe and the Aguilar as well as the EBS, they all spun natural and fat... Which the Mark Bass does fine... Only the OC2 sounds like an OC2 in my experience... The SFX mod sounds perfect and I'll give Max a shout...
9. Hi folks.... I use a Boss OC2. It's a major part o my sound and I won't be chanimg it for an alternative that's for sure. I run it with the Oct-1 at full and both dry signal and Oct-2 off. Sounds amazing... But. There is a noticeable volume dip between that and my dry signal/all other pedals. When it's run with something else, the other pedal picks up the volume, but when I use just octave it's just too quiet. If I dial the dry signal back in, that goes noticeably higher than the Oct-1. Before I get a booster and a bypass loop to use this pedal long term (and I REALLY don want to do this as my boar is FULL), does anyone have any words of wisdom about getting around it/anyone else experience the same issue? Shep
10. Making the trip on the 22nd to collect the beauty. Woop Woop!
11. I'd have to ask if it's all original as well? That body and those pickups are somewhat un-fender-like... Although the neck is obviously original... To be honest who cares if it's all Fender or not... It's blooming lovely. Kinda like a Fender/Overwater hybrid look going on!
12. Mind bender for my EBS Unichorus of any interest? Shep
13. Guys. Please can we leave I at that. The sale is now complete and there's no need to comment on the sale thread anymore regardless of what did or didn't happen. Thanks people... Shep
14. Ironically I took an interest in this thread as it was an unusual concept that Inhadnt experience or heard of... However I changed my strings from light's to mediums today and my D string is phasing!!!! Definitely no twist. It's sat firmly in the nut with no issues. I'll try the pickup height tomorrow and if it's still there then the lights are going back on!! Shep
15. Bought a cab from Ant. Other than the couriers being sh*te and making life hard everything went fine and communication (and packaging) was spot on! Cheers chap Shep
16.
Another thing to check is the flexible wiring between the chassis of the speaker and the cone. Sometimes they are situated at such an angle where they rattle when the cone is moving. Gently move the two wires where they connect to the terminal post or tag strip by about 3 - 4mm and see if this resolves the problem.
Either my ears have just heard enough bass today or thats worked! Certainly seems to of stopped. I'll keep an eye on it though for a couple days. Cheers folks!
17. Its not my week with amps and cabs. Received an EBS 410 today. It was fine when it left the sender and arrived with me with an odd issue The top right of the 4 drivers has a strange overdrive to it… At first listen it sounds like a vibration, but on lower notes or with the volume turned up its like having an overdrive pedal with a blend and letting about 10% fuzz through… I have checked everything is tight and am certain it is not a vibration. I've also taken the driver out and there is no noticeable damage it physically. Unlike normal damaged speakers this driver is letting the full original signal though, but as an extra layer there is this very feint fuzz. Putting you ear up to each driver in turn reveals the sound is coming from just this one. I imagine many people wouldn't even notice it in a rock band setting, but its definitely there. When you sustain a note and it starts to trail off it almost sounds as though that fuzz layer is shifting in pitch or phasing… its hard to put my finger on it but reminds me of using my Moog FreqBox ith only 10% wet signal. I'll be claiming from the courier but not sure its going to go anywhere so prob looking at a new driver from EBS… but before I do that, anyone else experienced anything similar?
18. After 5 mins of running the amp i have noticed 2 things… 1. the buzz is still there but has grown quieter. 2. The fan seems far far louder than normal.
19. It does it everywhere in the house. Tried another amp and that has no buzz. Somewhere between leaving the house yesterday and coming back today it has developed it.
20. Hi folks, Yesterday my amp ran silent. It went out to the studio with me yesterday and back last night. Having plugged it in this morning where it usually sits at home, same power socket, same cab, cables everything it has a low level electrical mains hum style noise through the speakers. The odd thing about this, is that the hum gets quieter the higher you turn up the amp volume, being loudest when the amp volume is at zero or the amp is on standby, then completely vanishing if the volume is turned to max. Ive tried different speaker leads, power sockets, a different cab… etc etc etc Any ideas?
21.
Any news, this is still slow for me, thanks
Hiya bud, Sorry for the late reply... Long day! Admins report nothing going on and we can't track anything down that could be causing it. I keep an eye on it over the next day or two though...
22.
But you forgot to change it in the quote in your post.
Fail!
23.
D'oh! I'm being thick here! You mean 50 posts & you can post in that thread? I read it as you could only post 50 times in that section I'm such a phallus
3,129
24.
So if you join the forum but don't post but just read, then decide to use the ebay links the computers going to say "No". Doesn't seem right to me. There are people I'm sure that just aren't "Chatty Man". Still your forum your rules.
The links will still work... Everyone can link and read. What has been proposed is that member who I've made less than 50 posts are unable to post a thread in the eBay forum. This is to avoid the larger number of people that join the forum, post a link to thier eBay sale and then vanish never to be seen again - or at least until they have something else to sell. 50 posts on Basschat is easily achieved and even the casual basschatter will have that many post after browsing the forum for a while... But it's enough that people visiting purely to advertise thier wares will be unable to do so. Shep Ps. BurritoBass - you have posted 3,128 times so no worries about being under the 50 post requirement
25. If you could control multiple parameters on Foogers with one cable imagine what you could do with the MP-201! I have 3 Foogers, 2 of which hooked up to the 4 channels of the MP-201. Imagine being able to run one pedal off each channel and effect all parameters of that pedal... Your never need another effect pedal! Shep
