  1. Hey up. got a mate at work interested if it 's not gone to the evil bay yet...
  2. I have one of these... best 5 string i ever owned... from trad 4 string Jazz in passive to MASSIVE modern... totally lovely.... IMHO
  3. Totally fabby amps... big thick in your face but clean and plenty headroom.. EQ is VERY effective with little adjustment going a long way... had been using GB, Genzler and A/B'd against the Mesa D800... for me this gave the best blend of tube type authority with digital clarity. Total bargain IMHO... no i don't know the seller...
  4. GET BEHIND ME SANTA... I DARE SAY NO MORE!!!!!!!!
  5. I have a pre-production custom 110R (110 and horn) in carpet.. that's amazing for its size with both 5 Str electric and upright... can only imagine what this does!!! If you think you see green here... you do... wish i had the dosh. GLWTS
  6. Markbass LM111... very good condition in Markbass gig bag. Include IEC and Speakon-Speakon. Fabby amp, plenty of volume and well delivers the watts it says on the tin... I usually use with either a US Jazz V deluxe or an Oakwood upright... it's totally happy with either. Cabs are Schroeder 110, Fender 112, Marshall 115 and Eden 410.. it careth not. For me what sets this apart is the solidity of the delivery with either new oir vintage tone settings. Weighs nowt. Price includes UK mainland delivery Only reason for moving on is I've found it's older big brother the SD1200.
  7. These are fantastic basses ( I have A 2011), The replacement Elite series is marginally different (way prefer logo on this series) but knocking on £1800... i use mine mainly on passive and it's dog ballocular... bargain... IMHO...
  8. 1982... doggy bits... great cabs... weigh much less than the authority they give to your sound!!!!
  9. No better way to spend your pennies to get your bass heard in any situation...
  10. Three tons... tons of weight, tons of tone, tons of volume.... he hazarded...
  11. Bought my first Fender Jazz new in '73 (copies up until then due to cost: the Fender was £276.50, my Antoria had been £106 earned £2.36 a week!!!); had one of these in this finish in the early 90's... all the solid feel, reliable/consistent build and tone that went to hell in a handbag (my '73 (bought new) was fine, '76's were here and there and most 78's I've had had issues/weight etc) all came back together when Dan Smith was put in place... these are great! GLWTS
  12. Hi there, fancy an swap for an ACG custom Fretless 5? This is the link to the build... I'm the original owner. In Hiscox. archive.acguitars.co.uk/portfolio/0116-recurve-sc-classic-fretless-5-string/ I work in Glasgow so trying etc. is easy Andy
  13. What a really lovely looking bass... it just 'works'. Best of luck with your sale man.
  14. When i got my GT7 I thought, nowhere else to go... et voila, 'one upmanship' on a most practical level! If spacing has been reduced but neck width the same, i can definitely vouch for everything being reachable. GLWTS
  15. had a 750A..awesome amp... transients are super fast and full range... numbers mean nothing with this amp, volume wise, regardless of what else is happening or where you are, it lives... IN YER FACE!! But with delicacy...
  16. Just bought a Fender cab from iain... could not have been easier, friendlier of anything else you can think of... TOTALLY recommended on all fronts.
  17. At £180 delivered you'd be mad not to... that said... I'll take this if that's cool? Will PM you an email address/number.
  18. Love these, using one tonight in fact... the Sidewinder was Celestion's response to EV/Altec/JBL cast frame high power driver with a clear voice... very efficient so tons of air moved for you watts. Used to use it on it's side with an SVT Classic (same width that way) but after an appeal by my aged back now sports a Mark Bass hat... Plenty for small gigs. I use it with a Jazz V deluxe and it handles the B well; not super extended but tight and well punchy... GLWTS
  19. Ahh well, thanks for taking the time to reply.. GLWTS
  20. Oh... bother... have Mini 110R (4 ohm 250) and asked Jorg about what 'next one up' would be as the 110 is, on occasions, borderline for what I'm doing... guess what he said... anything you'd be interested in as either swap or p/x with something your way? forlorn... Embra
  21. God, I remember when these came out.... haven't seen one since....! GLWTS
