1. Great basses for silly money, totally with you on the necks; very similar profile to a '57 reissue (US) I had in the dim and distant...
2. Used one all through the eighties... fabby cabs, echo Dan's comments re current physical status
3. Tuesday night ladder climbing for basses.. updated the post a little to clarify points from a couple of PMs.
4. Hi all, still here, happy to take extra pix.. just let me know what you want. Also been asked.'. I referred to it but yes there's a matching Jazz VM White/Maple/Black inlays/tort with US pups, knobs, CTS pots Us wiring and Hipshots.. only diff is I mod'd the headstock with a '62 US Jazz decal and re-sprayed/finished slightly antique amber gloss.. same price...pix on PM with email address. Just want to clarify.. I'm doing this as I recently bought a G&L L2500 so no need of gear... EXCEPT... Nice laptop (15.6 slimline) with poss. cash from me would work against either/both... I LOVE this site... 'Tangents 'R' us' or did I get that wrong????
5. Hello, whole unit, both the three pole and two pole sections. Bought directly from Fender US. Hope this helps. if not feel free to ask away...
6. Buuummmp a rooony... he said in a dignified fashion...
7. Toooo the top.. albeit for a very short space in time
8. Tight, sonically, if you pardon the expression... I found changing the pup made the difference, all now 'balanced' across the strings. Personal perhaps, but i previously found the B a little soft/weak. the USA pup sorted that... not a dramatic output or general tonal transformation but more a tightening up/focusing/evening of what goes on.. sorry if this sound s a bit ephemeral but that's how i see it. Did the same for my VM jazz (also up for sale) and basically same results.
9. Connstellation 38B: Heavyweight version, Bell 5 1/8” Receiver says ‘B’ making it a 38B (‘A’ indicates a long Cornet) According to: http://www.conn-selm...l-numbers/conn/ The serial prefix of ‘N’ dates it to 1970 Plating is generally in good condition for the year; there is some wear and a few small marks but nothing serious. Recently cleaned. Valves work smoothly. These are renowned for being IN YOUR FACE if you want to do that. Lead trumpet par excellence. Massive sound!
10. Hi ya, if it helps, and you don't have a fix by then, I'll be in Newcastle on the 20th Feb... still some wiggle room price wise, taking up space, I'm reliably informed by someone who knows better, that could be better used...
11. Totally fab cab for the money, handles low B well; exceptionally articulate. Never seen one this cheap... need a lightweight solution... buy this!!
12. Hi there, sorry to hear about the damage, I live in Edinburgh and work in Glasgow so drop off/pick up from either is cool
13. Hmmm seems very fair... deep thought... link says box is 4 ohms, just checking it is? I can see where this is going...
14. Just to add to the queue... might be for me ... how much to Glasgow G34 9HZ, my work's address.
15. I have a fretless version of this (0118) with the same EQ... the neck is to die for and the sound palette is the only thing I've ever used that's can do all a Wal can and more... seriously cheap for what you get.
16. Much Marshallness for little bucks type bump... can they be any cheaper?... hmmm sounds like a PM to me...
17. I have a 5 string fretless recurve... to my mind, there's is nothing better. Different, yes. better? Yet to be convinced. Stunning basses: you so won't be disappointed. GLWTS
