1. OK OK.... at least I'm old enough to claim senility in my meagre defence.... seriously I used to have a five string upright and just fancy getting another one, the TRB gets less use than the others and way less than it deserves. I'm not trying to escape from the Midlothian wing of Yam United...... if anyone has a five string Yamaha Upright...... Balders
  2. Hi all, GAS Attack.... made the mistake of entering the premises of my local purveyor of quality musical instruments.......I've got a short time to get the object of my desire (a five string EUB) at a special deal... as a result... On offer is a Yamaha TRB 6P (I think it's 1991 but hard to tell as Yammy are not forthcoming on dates), this was the top of the line model, two single coil (but sooo quiet in operation you'd never know) magnetic pickups and a Piezo system as well. Master Vol, Balance (front to rear Magnetic), Bass & Treble EQ (only works on Magnetic System), Balance (Smaller pot) between Magnetic and Piezo Systems and a Bass cut switch which only applies to the Piezo system. Through neck, twin truss rods, finished in 'Redblonde' Comes with original Yamaha case. Apart from the 'Yamaha' lettering being worn off the pickups the bass is in excellent condition with a super low action and no buzzes. The case is in 'Fair' condition through wear and tear...but hey that's it's job... Given the above... if it goes in the next two weeks it's a Basschat special of £750 including Courier delivery for UK Mainland addresses. Thereafter it'll be off up the 'bay at £850 buyer pays for delivery. feel free to mail or call 0779 718 119.... would also swap for the right 5 string EUB..... Worth a note that the Bass Gallery have a series 2 at £1700, this has humbuckers and a rail bridge.... read anything you can find... not up to the originals.... save £1000...you know it makes sense... Andy
  3. Sold subject to the usual..... will re do title on completion of the transaction. Thanks all Andy

  6.
That seems like a very fair price to me for such a high quality instrument. Good luck with the sale!
Thanks, sorry for the delay in replying... been at work since seven am and then rehearsals 'til now..... Tired in Edinburgh...
  7. Up for grabs a Trace Elliott T-Bass 5, No 265, White with single ply shell plate. The T-Bass electrics were designed for Trace by Status (who are now doing a Carbon neck reissue). It's in good overall nick., one or two body dings, nothing major. The bass comes with the original Trace gig bag (very rare) and a Gator hard case. I've changed the tuners for Clover Button versions but the originals are included (no mods were necessary to do this). some pix.. I'm looking for £575 delivered if you're on the UK mainland. I may be interested in a trade for a US Fender Precision Feel free to drop me a line or bell me on 07779 718 119. Andy
  8. Hi there, had a TD650 fro a while..changed the tube for a NOS Mullard...circuit didn't like it... I'd go with Bernie's (Goodfellow) suggetsions. Andy
  9. Hi there, i've got an Eden Nemesis NC410 (4x10 320w) combo that 's available...(my eyes are bigger than my garage) result of a GAS attack and i had always wanted to try one... 11. Hi there all, I played this a few weeks ago...the neck is fantastic, typical Status feel, fast and smoothe and a big step up from the standard fit...i also prefer the headstock shape. The bass is articulate and with the carbon neck really sings...well worth a try or even a buy.... Andy
  12.
bump bump
Hi there, you might want to take a look in the 'Wanted' section as there appears to be guys looking for exactly what's on offer.. few pm's in order methinks... good luck. Andy

  14.
Sad to say I'm selling my NC410 combo that I've had for just under 2 years. It's hardly seen much action and has only been out the house twice for full band rehearsals prior to band imploding. This is a great combo but as the specs below show it is seriously surplus to my home-use requirements - this amp deserves to be gigged. It's loud enough to drown out a Marshall half stack (I know I've tried) and has a lovely clear sound. The 4x10 speakers also kick out a serious amount of bass - it sounds fantastic with my Status Groove and Warwick Streamer Std. There is little or no wear and tear on this combo other than a crack that I repaired in the right hand carry handle - which is totally solid again. I paid £499 for this new - so make me an offer. I may consider a small combo of 100-150 watts output in PX. Specs from the Eden site: 320 Watts RMS@4Ω Power Handling 400W RMS Frequency Response 48Hz - 18Khz ±2dB Sensitivity 104dB SPL@1W1M Impedance 4Ω Dimensions 24.75w x 24.75 x 16.25d Weight 62 LBS http://www.eden-electronics.com/Nemesis/indiv/nc410.asp [IMG]http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2282/2377288822_c4238359bb.jpg[IMG] [IMGhttp://farm3.static.flickr.com/2065/2377286964_23e1cf81c6.jpg[IMG] BTW - I am am willing to make arrangements with potential buyers when it comes to pick up, delivery, etc. Just bear in mind that I live just outside of Glasgow and I don't want to post this combo!
PM'd Andy
  15.
Hey Andy, Thanks for the interest but alas cold hard cash it is. The basses sound great but I'm not looking anything new for now. Cheers, Gareth
Thanks anyway...good luck Gareth Andy
  16.
Bump. I'll also throw in a 3U rack case that's practically brand new. The head can be shipped in that for protection. Thanks, Gareth
Hi Gareth, would you be interested in a p/x plus cash? I'm looking to move on a Trace T-Bass 5 with gig bag and Gator hardcase (White with Tort s/plate) and an American Sunburst 5 string Jazz (Passive, in original case)... either bass and a couple of hundred quid? If you're at all interested you could also bell me on 07779 718 119 Thanks Andy
