4. Hi there, with 'oldslapper' in as much as I got no money and my '75 reissue Jazz (USA) is going nowhere (there's been a few of these up lately and IMHO they're well worth the little extra they go for)...that said I'd LOVE your bass..fantastic looking..hope you get what you want. Andy
5. If it lets your V4 out to play you just got the best Chrissy Pressy ever... Oh, does your misses do estate cars?? Andy
6. Welcome, Bonne Anee, lovely piece of kit, I'm not in the market (have a Fender CSR10 300W tube head), but have heard several of these and they are much more than the spec indicates. None of the non-orig parts makes any difference to the awesome sound.... Wish my French was a patch on you English..... good luck Andy
7. Hi there, as far as I know you can use any Bi-amp head and run the two 2x10s as a 4x10 hi-pass and the 15 as a low pass but NOT all three sections together without a complete re-wire. If you can source an AH 350x or 500x (needs to be the 'x' as it stands for 'X'over) you should be fine... may be cheaper ...sell your amp and buy head.. then sell off such a good cab for so little... or you may only have a small car... then, ah, physics takes over... Good luck anyway. Andy
8. Have to say, I've always liked John Shukers' basses, but even then this is gorgeous..hope you get a swift sale and sorry you have to part with such a nice bass.... makes me think.....what are the rest of them like????... still poverty has it's benefits...... Good luck Andy
9. My tuppence (old money albeit the bass is after 1971) worth is that it's a '73, the tuner 'ears' merge into the shaft and don't 'step in' whch they changed in '73... however Fender were (are?) notorious for assemblig instruments from batches of parts produced at different times.... bottom line... who cares!!! gorgeous bass and if i had the pennies i'd be talking which services we were meeting at! Don't worry about slow starts, quality counts... the new owner already knows if they've seen it, if not they will when they clap eyes.... have a good Christmas and relax... or drink too much..) Andy
10. I tried this when it was 'happy'... did somebody say LOUD!!!! a V8 is supposed to be more (a bit) at 400W, had two V8s, they do what they do but not at this volume.. if you've got the cabs I'd deffo get Marshall to have a look.. it's odd, it's physically big and 'feels' well...'dangerous'... or was that yahoo, bring it on... not recommended for bedroom use Andy
11. It takes something special to shut me up... (according to her indoors), consider me dumbfounded. I wish I had the application (and money) good luck with what seems a very reasonable asking price for a piece of history... Oh... Merry Christmas.. ( I hear Santa is bringing me a double neck.... oh well, worth a try) Andy
12. Just want to say thanks to Barry, easy to do and easy to deal with...
13. Can I just say Barry was great to deal with.... If I can work out the feedback bit works(never used it) will leave a positive comment.... Andy
14. Best looking Tele bass I've seen (AND I'm old enough to have owned a couple... )... seems to be a VERY reasonable price for a custom shop bass of this calibre. Good luck andy
15. Can't do anything about this.. but.. love the pickup config and for that matter the rest of it.. lovely bass, good luck. Andy
16. Seen and used this, immaculate.. if you want the sound ... hee it is.,.. ANDY
17. Hi ya.. obvious questions really... have you a ballpark cash figure in mind and what sort of things would you be interested in trade wise.... basses/amps etc ta Andy
18. Hi there, downsizing (string count wise) at the moment but just had to say I think you bass is absolutely stunning and seems a very fair price for apiece of history.... good luck with the sale
19. Three weeks... that's nearly vintage.... worst I've done was buy a bass (Dan Armstong medium scale...30 yrs ago)... got home.... got back on the bus and traded it... good luck with the sale
20. Cab's not really my cup of tea but I really like the song.... welcome... If you're not in the UK may be an idea to say what shipping would cost and how you'd like paid. Good luck. Andy
21. I posted the other day saying that an Alembic was 'IT'... wrong.... yearn, yearn, no money but your bass is 'beyond'.... couldn't you whistle and pretend the turbo was working and keep the bass??? Driving slower saves lives... (apart from those it bores to death...) Good luck with the sale... wait wait wait... I'll swap you for the turbocharger from my car Andy
22. Not quite my cup of tea playing wise as I've found out down the years... and way too expensive for me ...BUT... always coveted one, always seemed to me to be 'the ultimate bass' .... sad fat bloke dreams on. thinks; where's that lottery ticket..... Good luck for a gorgeous instrument.
23. I'm not in the market but have to say I think this is absolutely beee a uu teee ful.... good luck with the sale. Andy
