You need to get yourself down to the Station, get the train to Wymess Bay... get the Ferry... climb to the top of a hill and have a loud word with yourself...having sorted that out you can rejoin society refreshed... then have a pint and sell/trade all your....oh no stop it!!! This only makes you the same as rest of us... there should however be a nice quiet padded forum for us all to go to occasionally. Good luck (you do know this journey has no end don't you?) I've got one of these and recently played three late sixties early seventies ones... the RI won hands down in every way... If any of you are even thinking of a seventies Jazz BUY THIS. You can take the chance on an old one (rule of thumb I used in the seventies was try 12 you might get a good one..i.e. playable and well made and good sounding). Oh...usual fee in usual way... Good luck with the sale... Andy
The brown decals are so classy right?!
I really like them, as usual with Bernie it's the overall look/vibe, so they may work less well with different wood/hardware combinations. Ohhh while I'm on...You would go and post a bound fingerbaord Jazz... just when I thought I had finished... luckily my car is *****d at the mom so I won't have any money for a thousand years... Hm.. bound fingerboard Spitfire5..hmmmmm

Hi all, owns up to being the lucky owner of the Angel fretless five, just took delivery at the end of last week.. it's easily the best fretless I've ever played (and that includes two Wal MkIII fives). The finish is well.. STUNNING and the mahogay back allows a real fretless growl, as it's a 34" Bernie has slightly reduced the headstock to maintain proportion and the logos are in a Dark Brown to go with the finish. I'm away 'til the start of next week but will post some pix when I get back. The bass also has Bernies' newest finish on the back of the neck... wow, silkiest fastest feel ever. Sorry need to stop drooling... pity I can't change user mane to Spitfire5... Mods?.. It's THAT good. Andy p.s. been a bit of a protracted affair as I hummed and hawed a lot before making the move..thanks to EBS_Freak for the advice at the start of the journey and especially to Bernie for the top notch support and service as usual.

Welcome, Bonne Anee, lovely piece of kit, I'm not in the market (have a Fender CSR10 300W tube head), but have heard several of these and they are much more than the spec indicates. None of the non-orig parts makes any difference to the awesome sound.... Wish my French was a patch on you English..... good luck Andy

Hi there, as far as I know you can use any Bi-amp head and run the two 2x10s as a 4x10 hi-pass and the 15 as a low pass but NOT all three sections together without a complete re-wire. If you can source an AH 350x or 500x (needs to be the 'x' as it stands for 'X'over) you should be fine... may be cheaper ...sell your amp and buy head.. then sell off such a good cab for so little... or you may only have a small car... then, ah, physics takes over... Good luck anyway. Andy

My tuppence (old money albeit the bass is after 1971) worth is that it's a '73, the tuner 'ears' merge into the shaft and don't 'step in' whch they changed in '73... however Fender were (are?) notorious for assemblig instruments from batches of parts produced at different times.... bottom line... who cares!!! gorgeous bass and if i had the pennies i'd be talking which services we were meeting at! Don't worry about slow starts, quality counts... the new owner already knows if they've seen it, if not they will when they clap eyes.... have a good Christmas and relax... or drink too much..) Andy

I tried this when it was 'happy'... did somebody say LOUD!!!! a V8 is supposed to be more (a bit) at 400W, had two V8s, they do what they do but not at this volume.. if you've got the cabs I'd deffo get Marshall to have a look.. it's odd, it's physically big and 'feels' well...'dangerous'... or was that yahoo, bring it on... not recommended for bedroom use Andy
