WOW! just WOW! I dont think i will ever sell my V4. Its just too damn good, at everything. Yours is slightly different to mine, mine has the overdrive channel and compressor. I didnt know they did 2 models. Do you know any history about the differences? just to please my geekiness As far as i know, they only made around 20 of these. Good luck with the sale, someone is gonna be in heaven with this sound!
Hi there..just a chip in sort of thingy... Your V4 is the same series as the V8 I had, these were the last tube amps produced by 'the real Trace' , these were later than the original 'V' type range which all had a tube preamp and a choice of either SS (hybrid sub series) or tube power stages.. which came as a V4 (Andy's model) and a V6 (4 tubes along the back and 2 'dog-legged' inwards... these suceeded the original 'Twin' (100w 2xKT88), 'Quattra' (200w 4xKT88) and 'Hexa' (300w 6xKT88) series which had GP series SS preamps (there was also an 'in-between' VA400 (6x6550 with both SS AND tube preamps)... Andys' series of V4 is so in your face for 200 'Rock' watts it's not true whereas the V6 was much more HiFi.. I've heard this set up umteen times and it is easily as good as you think it's goingto be.... but louder!!! Andy (a fat bald one)

Realise it's not a little cash...so it's a, "if £2K is too much but i really want it but I only have... and I could trade this...." type of BUMP... Frozen pipe & Central heating sorted... fire close to working... Bill due type anxiety forces meek mannered fat man to sell his soul type provocation.... (that said this is NOT a cheap instrument.....) Just remember...a PM in the mail is worth the chance of a 'don't be ridiculous' reply in the scheme of things... -

Hi there, 1st off... sorry but not in the market.. however... used these plenty, especially the originals; i understand the re-issues are up there with the originals in terms of construction and components.... that being the case YAHOO there is no more from 200W.... perioid... don't care about design , technology etc... if you just want to be LOUDER.. no better way of doing it... Good luck with the sale Andy

It doesn't really matter when it's what appears that makes it all so worth while... on my build (Angel 5 string F/Less 34") Bernie was good enough to send pix occasionally; may be worth an ask to make the time easier... It 's worth mentioning (i think) that Bernie's always been great at ad hoc changes/updates as well as any 'noodling' we want done after market... all of this needs fitted in somewhere and i guess shows etc add to the 'elasticity'. All i can say is you made the right move and you'll love it when it arrives... Merry Christmas. Smug owner in possesion.... Andy
Guys.... just bought Bassadders's Markbass CMD151p so my 3 month old Bass cube is up for grabs..... Punches well above it's 30W in my opinion and sounds great for home practice, loads of great build in tones available Bargain..... £75 collected from Sunderland Mark
I have one of these... totally agree wit it punching above its weight... I use it at rehearsals with two acoustics, an electric and basic kit and it does fine as long as the drummer doesn't get silly... Fab value at the price.

Had a listen to this the other day with Andy's V4... fabulous cab ... but... Sk8 is unfortunately right... with a big tube head this is an absolutely killer combination and if you hear this you are DOOOOMMMMEED.. luckily you're doomed to the bass sound from hell.... buy now... stop in front of the wife... tilt your chin forward and say... bought an Ampeg 810... take your best shot!!!
