1. Well that one is sorted , I got an email reply by 10.00 this morning asking for my address , they are going to post a correct one out to me . So Ernie is defo on the Ball , well played boys
2.
Only 18 votes so far! Some of us need all the help we can get
one of you has had all the votes I can give
3. I will let you know if/when I get a proper set , I cant seem to get the right feel from the hybrid/custom 105/70/70/50 pack I opened this morning
4. Do they get a little precious
5. I have already sent an email to EB UK , lets see what they make of it !! I will keep you informed . I had a tail snap on a Roto D string and they sent me a new one straight away , I wonder if Ernie is on the ball
6. I have been very lucky to acquire a set of Ernie Ball regular slinkies from a fellow BCer through the recycling , these are Brand new in a sealed foil pack , virginal to any purchasers grubby mits. These were destined for a project that I am playing with , and a dry run set-up was on the cards , except , on opening them , I opened the 105 E first and strung it on , then the A 85 , I thought it seemed a bit thin , but carried on , then the D then finally the G , I had terrible issues tuning the thing , so I got out the vernier and would you believe the labelled packet with the 85 was indeed a 70 , so bizzarely from a sealed unopened pack of strings it was put together wrongly , so now I need an 85 to suit . I generally use Rotosounds and have never had an issue like this , have I been incredibly unlucky ,or is this a relatively common occurrence ? ps anyone go a spare new EB .085 roundwound spare ,
7. I have had a busy month and we have house guests in my 'studio' space , but I did try a few things ,but couldn't pull anything together , despite having a queue of available vocalists . Maybe that is an issue in itself in that making up a composition is all well and fine if I am going to be the guilty party , but to write parts for others to perform is another step entirely . Being glorious weather means more out and aboutness aswell , Still I will vote ASAP , But august could be also be tricky timewise for me , and then Paul knocks one out in a couple of hours much respect
8. Just got in from a regular pub gig and it was a great one ,we had them bouncing even in the first set , blooded 3 new songs and it was the first work out for my new (used) TC Electronics rig , I was very pleased with what it sounded like and the way it worked for the gig ,, we are back there for a christmas party , so that should be fun , a good night all in , even if it was a touch warm tonight
9. Why didn't you stand at the door giving out flyers to all and sundry
10. That sounds brilliant Paul , what are you thinking of in regard an acoustically treated window ? do you mean curtains .
11. I wont go into detail , but I have been eating a fair bit of sweetcorn recently
12.
I believe one of Basschats Oligarchs has a nice little sideline that can help you out.
Quality ,I must invest in some , though black ?
13.
I've still to find, however, the 'magic bullet' that turns dross into glittering gold. I'll just have to keep looking...
In search of the elusive turd polisher eh? Well it's pretty obvious that I am not in possession of one Time and opportunity is not on my side at the moment , though still hopeful of knocking something together .
14. bought a bridge from Paul , it must have been in the post about 10 minutes after I paid him !! excellent service , many thanks
15. Well done Douglas , a worthy winner , a clever and well presented piece that suited the theme perfectly ,......oh and thanks
16. I am a little disappointed Dad, we know your skill at putting a tune together with incredible speed , this was the perfect opportunity to get the song done BEFORE the picture got posted
17.
That's a shame :-( I didn't think that the song was THAT uninspirational ;-)
HaHa I have had a really busy month , Stag weekends , clothes shopping ( still not finished) , family visits , wedding to attend , funeral aswell , so such a full on mix has escaped all efforts at quality mix time The song is great , but there are a lot of parts and being fairly long, after a few listens through to get the feel, I am still struggling to make any headway and then I have run out of time
18. Unfortunately I have got nowhere with this , and I don't think I will get a chance either , so for the first time in ages I am going to have to duck out on the mix challenge , good luck all .

Just about a year from the last feedback and must sadly report a lack of improvement from the previous input . I would not be interested in having dealings with Samuel again .
20. Ha Ha , Its beginning to look like you need to start thinking of a picture there Douglas
21. WE played to the bar staff and a photgrapher who wanted to do some shots , she had friends and family that wanted to come but the landlord would not allow under 16's so they all sacked it off . at 11.45 we called it a day and were packing up when 50 people walked in and wanted us to play . The landlord had booked us and took his regular clientele to the dogs in manchester !! we thought it would kick off when we refused to play any more , we got paid though .
22. When I first heard yours , at the start I thought Big Bang , and then a DOH moment that I wished I had thought of it
23. OK , it would appear oohs and aaahs are not on the menu this month , so I will give you something that is ...Above and beyond https://soundcloud.com/lurksalot/above-and-beyond It does seem to have been compressed a fair bit by Sound cloud and has somehow feels a touch muted . I also think I have noticed it before . ah well , I hope you enjoy
24. This picture didnt suggest lyrics to me , but while having my ideas mainly set down now , I am again hoping for some Lurksalittle input . So if I persuade her I will have a vpcal of sorts , but probably just sounds rather than words
25. Its the 'Orange' that SWMBO thinks is cool , and with a fake speaker front to hide the rack gear , I think it might be OK aswell , a little research suggests that getting hold of the 'Orange' badges for authenticity might be a bit awkward , but a link to the tolex would be good thanks . If I find in six months time I haven't got around to pulling my finger out I might take him up on the idea
