My guitarist once forgot to bring my bass to a gig. I was not impressed. He reckoned it wasn't his fault.

A non-Basschat friend bought Geoff's Ibanez SR700, I acted as the negotiator. Geoff was great and easy to deal with throughout quite a lengthy transaction, and he was very understanding when we were delayed by traffic, roadworks and any other journey-related mishap you can imagine. The bass is superb and I wouldn't hesitate to deal with Geoff again.

String a 4 as BEAD? Works if you don't mind sacrificing the G from time to time.

Would it have been so difficult to get the headstock right? They've just cobbled on the one on the current SG bass. I won't mention the pickups. A missed opportunity to properly reissue a classic and sought after instrument.

I'm finding it amusing how many different versions of 'growl' there seem to be in this thread... And some interesting interpretations of 'aggressive' tone too!

Just bought Nick's Ibanez ATK - he even drove over to me as my car is currently broken. Top bloke, wouldn't hesitate to deal with again. Smashing bass too
