  1. Looks like a particularly excited Fortress... He does seem like a very nice chap though. He seemed to like the gig bag so much I thought he'd forgotten about what was inside.
  2. You don't hang around!
  3. I think the Doctor has owned his (or hers) for several hundred years at least.
  4. I didn't know they still made these! I remember the one time Bassist magazine gave away a free CD, one of the tracks was Liqorice Locking playing one of these on The Man With The Golden Arm. Made my earholes go all funny.
  5. I don't think the phaser will sound right. Try a tremolo pedal. But, I digress. To echo Dannybuoy's sentiments, you probably won't get the Heartbreaker sound with a fuzz pedal. A lightly pushed Orange Juice should do the trick! Although now I think about it, I've just got hold of a Chowny Fuzzster and it could probably get in the ballpark at least - a bit of light fuzz blended in with the clean. With a tremolo pedal
  6. I've never been a big fan of AC/DC I'm afraid. It's the vomiting pensioner thing that gets me. Same with G 'n' R.
  7. I thought it sounded quite good... 😂
  8. I've been playing mine today. It's a dirty sod.
  9. And, it arrived this morning 😁
  10. I think it's Dr Jimmy. Or Mr Jim. Depending on how much gin he's had.
  11. That is absolutely glorious. You really do have a fantastic selection of basses.
  12. Not sure if it's my favourite Who album, but it's undoubtedly their finest work. It's worth remembering that at the time Roger himself wasn't too happy with it, saying it felt like the band had "lost a bollock". He was also less than complimentary about the use of synthesizers.
  13. Understandable with that level of sensory impairment. Thank God for pinball.
  14. Glad your little one is doing well!
  15. Fog has sold - I repeat, Fog has sold.
  16. Don't worry, I'll get round to it! 😁
  17. The Tech 21 Leeds does the LAL tone perfectly, unsurprisingly! A P bass helps, but it nails the Hiwatt drive. I use it with a Thunderbird too. It's been my preamp for a few years now. Don't pay too much attention to the Tech 21 clip though as it misses the point entirely. As for the post-Moon albums, I think they are very good in places. Just not great Who albums, if that makes sense. Both are covered in Entwistle's monster Alembic, both 4 and 8 string, and are worth hearing for the tone and playing if nothing else - both feature some of his finest studio work.
  18. Not sure if I should feel like a test pilot or guinea pig.
  19. Haven't yet I'm afraid. If I'm honest it's slipped my mind 😂 Pics up asap though!
  20. Two lovely, diminutive Mooers. Both in excellent condition, some very minor playing wear. Original boxes for both. The Slow Engine comes with some free velcro on the bottom. £35 for the Fog SOLD £30 for the Slow Engine. Both prices include postage. No trades.
  21. "Antiquax" sounds like duck repellent.
  22. Yeah, I went there.
  23. This can never be unseen.
  24. This is very pleasing.
  25. Sorry - typo! Meant to write NS2000 Q5. The NS2000/5 is indeed neck-through.
