  1. I'd love to hear the Excess in that sort of band! Do you have any recordings?
  2. Sounds great. I'd love to see his settings.
  3. Helpful.
  4. Thumbs up from me!
  5. Ringo missed part of a tour in 1964 due to illness and was replaced with a session drummer, Jimmy Nicol. It's true that some of the later Beatles recordings feature McCartney on drums, but by this time the band was fragmenting and it was not uncommon for a particular Beatle to record songs without much help from the others. Of course, it was also standard practice for the rest of the band to swap instruments from time to time in the studio, often due to recording limitations of the day - Harrison playing bass when McCartney played piano, for example. The occasions when the drumming was handled by someone other than Ringo should not be seen as an indictment of his abilities.
  6. I don't know, if it's anthing like the old BBC sound effects records there will be hours of fun to be had!
  7. It also manages to sound absolutely nothing like Lemmy.
  8. I think all basses that originally had covers look better with them on, but I can't play with them in place. They just get in the way for me. That said, when a bass is not being used much for whatever reason I put them back on! Luckily they all still look great without the covers.
  9. What's creepy about Rough Boys?
  10. Can't remember if there's an adjustable delay, but the pedal does have two settings - one is spring loaded like the Dunlop bass wah so it always returns to closed and works as soon as you rock it, and the other is like a trad wah that can be left in position but needs to be switched on and off. I think that makes sense...
  11. Nice! Location?
  12. Gah! My favourite P bass finish. I really regret not buying one when I had the chance.
  13. I went for the white one. It had to be. I do wish it was a bit creamier, but it is off-white, being a darker shade than the scratchplate. I've just purchased an ebony tug bar and some Gotoh long stem tuners as the Wilkinson ones on at the moment don't quite look the part. They work perfectly well though. Pics to follow when they're on!
  14. Crazy talk I know, but might it be possible for me to jump aboard?
  15. Come and try mine mate, you'd love it
  16. Thomann have them for £523. Only Ebony left in stock though.
  17. Status Graphite something 😁
  18. Strange. I do think £599 is still a good price though. Lucky I got in early!
  19. Pete is now the (hopefully) happy new owner of my Tritonlab FET Overdrive pedal. Great chap to deal with, would happily do so again!
