  1. These are amazing. How is this still here?!
  2. I think he still is... I haven't heard anything to suggest otherwise! I was lucky enough to see KC at the Hackney Empire a few years back - the sheer force of three drummers along the front of the stage was quite something.
  3. Please stop showing me this picture. It's making my life very difficult. 😂
  4. Perhaps 'pointless' was a bit harsh. It's certainly good to hear the basses. I just wish we could hear a bit more, maybe from other players in some different style. The old 'tone is in the fingers' wheeze is certainly true of Marcus!
  5. I see! Post some pics on here, we'd love to see them! and as I'm sure you are aware... I've considered buying an Embassy for myself. I already have the Vintage Pro Thunderbird, and it is excellent. It's a bit petty but I'm not sure about the redesigned Embassy headstock, it looks a bit ordinary in comparision with the original.
  6. Looks like a big blue circle with a 'G' in the middle...
  7. I wouldn't say they were particularly 'bad' reviews, just a bit pointless. All they really show is that the bass works, and can be slapped.
  8. Mr Wishbone bought some quality Wilkinson tuners I had up for sale. No problems whatsoever, a pleasure to deal with!
  9. I saw a Genesis tribute band a couple of times a few years ago, but I can't remember which one! They were very good though. The singer looked a bit like Keith Moon/Anthony Newley and the keyboard player was the spit of Peter Griffin.
  10. A green Euro?! Heaven!
  11. I'm a bit of a Spector obsessive, as @Bassulike66 and @cetera know! I don't have any at the moment but have owned 16 over the years. Like Rickenbackers, they are an itch I sometimes just have to scratch, so I'm sure I'll own another one soon! My favourites have been the NS2000 model. I actually prefer them over the Euro. Seller's remorse, right there.
  12. Being obsessed with Quiet Sun, I do have to ask myself why I don't own this album.
  13. I think I may have priced this a bit high, but I can't change it. Offers and trades considered!
  14. I'll admit, I did think the Coda was an April Fool's gag when it was first announced, mainly due to the apparently awful photoshop on the headstock - turns out that is actually the design! It has grown on me over the years though. Spectors can be trusted.
  15. It is. They seem to take massive umbrage at anybody daring to alter their instruments in any way, even removing the pickup cover. It's almost as if they deliberately fit the pickup askew to punish those that do
  16. This seems to be normal for Ricks I'm afraid. All of mine have had crooked pickups to varying degrees. Rickenbacker's standard response is that the pickup is supposed to be hidden under the cover, so it doesn't matter.
  17. Which one was that?
  18. It's a Precision. I suspect flats. All the early Kansas albums are. I don't think Dave Hope ever played a Rick, but he did switch to Steinbergers later on.
  19. First album was all Precision! Geddy bought his first Rickenbacker with the record company advance straight after.
