2. gold hardware Coffee table finishes quilted/flamed tops any fancy wood actually natural finishes slab sided bodies - got to have a forearm and tummy cut a bass has 4 strings or less - more than 4 strings is wrong
3.
What does that prove?

Oh - and apparently they class themselves as musicians. Can anyone of you youngsters explain all of this to an old feller?
Just showing that some DJs actually ARE musicians
4.
I find that most bizarre and at the same time, very cool indeed.
Tony and I have been doing stuff together for 30 years! Long before A&B was even dreamed of.
5. Our guitarist is 1/3 of Above and Beyond. they headline lots of festivals (Glatonbury/Creamfields Ibiza etc etc) as DJs. All 3 of them are competent musicians and excellent producers. They earn their living DJing all over the world. They can do proper live music too as this performance of acoustic arrangements of their club songs demonstrates: https://www.youtube....-I&spfreload=10
6. Only string for me: d'Addario Half rounds ENR71 45-100....best of all worlds
7. I've got 3 Ps with jazz necks....my little hands prefer a jazz neck. I'm sure you'll have no problem moving it.
8. We are in discussions at the moment with a USA promoter with a view to doing an 8 date tour of USA next spring. I'm assuming I would need a P-1B visa to go. Have any of you ever had a P-1B USA visa? How painful is the process of getting one? How much is the process likely to cost? How long does it take? Am I correct in my assumption that this is the visa I need to tour USA?
9. I would like an amp that can run down to 2 ohms.......why are there so few available?
10. I know who bought this and expect to see it any day now. (not me)
11.
I don't think it matters which bit of the pickup is on which side (Feel free to correct me anybody).
Some have a raised pole on the A string...these are orientation sensitive http://www.seymourduncan.com/images/products/antiquity/11044-12.jpg
12. My Status jazz necked Warmoth dinky P is likely to be almost too light when it's finished!
13. I will never sell my 83 Fiesta Red JV precision....owned from new
14. 11 and I can't read at all....so 11/15 with mostly guesswork!
15. We do a lot of our writing by jamming. Someone might have a phrase or line, play it and the rest of us will join in then somebody else might have an idea for a bridge or a chorus and we'll build a song from there.
16. I use D'Addario Half Rounds....the zing of rounds with the feel of flats which can also sound like flats
17. Money by Pink Floyd.....all the talk of it being 7/8 in parts and 4/4 in others kinda put me off trying it....but it's piss easy....shame my drummer can't count.
18. I had my GB STL 9.2 stolen I now use a TecAmp Puma 900 (tiny and VERY light) with my Barefaced cabs (S12T sometimes SuperMidgetGen3 other times) - It sounds awesome! I like it more than tI liked the Genz
19. I was burgled on Friday in Dunstable Beds The theiving scum targeted my car, a Toyota GT86 reg GT14 NGT. On their way out the lifted my Gig Skinz bag containing a Genz Benz Shuttle 9.2 head, a 4 way mains plug, a kettle lead and a speakon cable. And the charging cable for my John East preamp (!!!) if anyone is offered a cheap GB 9.2 it could be mine - serial number 12003713
20. After our successful visit to The Lexington last Sunday we'll be playing at Rock City in Valencia on Saturday 22nd November

22.
I remember Alex recommending the Carvin B2000 head to go with his cabs
in the old Brighton factory I saw they used a GB Shuttle6 for testing
23. They both do the job. I just had an email from Alex about my post. When i first got the midget I accidently had a -15dB switch on one of my pedals and couldn't get any volume out of the midget. Now (having restored the input level cut - DOH!) on my shuttle9.2 with pre amp set gain 9 oclock Vol 3 oclock, to achieve simlar volumes the output is set 11oclock for the S12T and 3oclock on the super midget. This is the volume we rehearse at with a loud kit and loud guitar. I think that that tells me you need a lot of oomph to drive the midget. Admittedly the S12T is a 4ohm cab and the midget an 8 ohm - I'd expect to have to crank the head to achieve similar results but this is a powerful head and 3 oclock is a long way round the dial i have rehearsed with both cabs this week as we have a gig on Sunday (first in UK for 3 years!) and I was undecided which cab to take - so proper a/b testing done. The S12T gets the gig - the sound is richer and fuller than the midget. The midget is stilll very new and probably needs breaking in a little more. Having said all that I just want to point out that both cabs sound great to my ears. I wouldn't say i'm a barefaced fanboi, like some, but I liked the product so much I've bought 2 now..... I would be interested to discover how a double super midget rig sounds compared to my S12T - that would be interesting - any super midget owners wanna lend me one for an a/b back to back test?
24. Miidgets need a LOT of watts.well my new super midget does... I recently got a super midget so i could go to rehearsals in my GT86! What an extravagence. My GB Shuttle9.2 has to be cranked much higher to get the volume I get from my S12T. I fear if i'd had anything with fewer watts than the 9.2 (500W @ 8ohm) then the super midget would not achieve required volume
