1. Enough bickering please. TPTroll I can't see anything wrong with this thread other than the possible sycophantic praise in place, it is not a blatant advert but it is in the wrong place.
2.
Yeah, I guess. I find it frustrating being an endorsee and hearing things like "don't listen to Thom, he's endorsed so he has to say that." I think so many people just see it as the artist getting free stuff and a brown nose and nothing else. Maybe someone has an endorrsement contract they can share? I'm sure it'd be interesting to some people. Mine has a confidentiality clause in it and the endorsement I turned down never got as far as a contract.
Don't listen to this guy he's paid to say this !!!!!!!!!!

Sold

Why don't you take it back to the shop and ask them to refund and order what you want instead ? Seems silly to take a hit on the price.
4. Yamaha RBX775 defretted refin.
5. True, I guess I find a lot of advertising to be generally offensive to my intelligence.
6. I personally find endorsements to be a little odious. Things are much worse in the guitar world though, where certain famous guitarists seem to have a signature everything with their logo on just to make a few bucks (Slash, i'm looking at you !). I'm sure they don't use much of this stuff and have just agreed for their name to go on it as they know it's a good revenue stream. Even though i'm no pro, I'd be reluctant to be limited to a certain brand as I think it'd limit my creativity soundwise, but I get the feeling a lot of endorsees aren't that bothered.
7. These are £450 new, great deal for someone.
8. Seller PM'd me to clarify which I did then left this on here, link removed. I have also updated the forum rules to include an eBay section. I would ask that anyone who spots someone posting a link contact a moderator or use the Report function rather than have a public debate about it to avoid confrontation. Thanks to the original poster for contacting me to highlight this omission .
9.
Sorry to disappoint Gust0o but...

A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
A robot must obey the orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws.

You've confused me with Johnny 5 and Asimo.
10. Looks like some people are taking things too seriously here. I don't think the OP has done anything out of place here except perhaps be a little sensitive to peoples reactions. A few have jumped in to follow to try and make a big scene, seen it all before I'm afraid. I would appreciate it if the bickering stopped (from all parties). Any issues drop me a PM, thanks.
11. Sadowsky or Lakland ?
12. A Les Paul for me please. I find them unbalanced to hold but they look amazing and the tone, wowee !
13. I may add pics.
14. Please read the forum rules - if you want offers then put it on eBay, if you want to sell it here you must state a firm price.
15. Yeah - I can play it naked without it feeling too cold.
16. Home defretted but pro-refinished (Moroccan goat leather) Yamaha RBX775:
17. Passive ones won't have them.
18.
He was joking, surely? Or have I missed something?
I didn't detect jest in lettsguitar's post.
19.
Yes but the leather stops all vibrations. Elvis's leather bound acoustic sounded terrible apparently. Looks cool. And very cheap.
It's an electric bass. Surely the same thing would happen when you're holding the instrument ?! All that soft tissue damping it down?! It has had zero effect.
20.
How does it sound? Surely you lose something tone-wise by having a bass covered in leather...
The same as before it was done, it's still wood inside !
21. Yes, seam around the edge but sealed using 'custom' boot laces glued into place, it goes from neck joint around the middle to the other side of the joint
22. You saw it here first. I've had my Yamaha RBX775 refinished in this lush Moroccan goat leather. Done by a shop in Redditch (Conserve Guitars). My Dad picked up a P bass that had the similar worked done to it and gave it to me as a present last Christmas. By utter chance - I found the shop that did it last month, gave him a call to ask how much to do it again and he gave me a stupid price (less than £101) so I went for it. Dropped it off last Saturday and it took him 4 days to do, amazing turn around ! Love it or hate it, here it is !
23. Alex Claber wrote an article on this in a recentish BGM issue.
24. Something I see in Guitar magazines regularly is an in-depth article on the history of a particular manufacturer or instrument. I feel this would be a fantastic addition and beyond may even force me to renew my sub! (I currently buy from WHSmith). I intend to give some more feedback in more detail and will drop you an email Joel
25. Sorry but it isn't proper Sabbath to me unless it's the original lineup. As legendary as Dio is he's not Ozzy. Fave tune for me is undoubtedly N.I.B.
