1.
You know Klaus too? Small world.....
It's not Klaus he's thinking of its Till (as any right thinking Rammstein fan knows)
2. Have a 'not a metal freak and I'm 56 years old so I would look a twat with that' type of bump for a quite nice looking bass
3. That looks real tasty and if previous experience of Schecters is anything to go by it should sound good, shame I have nothing that might interest you. Thought about selling ? You might have a better chance.
4. That ticks so many boxes, even the colour is right for me ! Have a bump while I figure out if I can sneak it past 'er indoors.
5. Oh plenty of interest here but I'm on a strict 'one-in-one-out' diet ! The only thing I may want to move on is the Stagg EUB and by the time I shifted that this would be gone.
6. I hate bass ! Oh how I wish I had never been talked into it 38 years ago ! Still, could have been worse, I could have taken to one of those tiny little things they call 'guitars' . Fiddly little buggers that screech and wail like a bad tempered baby.

8. Oldies but goodies Stan Clarke - Stanley Clarke/Journey to Love/School Days
9. I'm sorry laddies, you've been rumbled. We will have none of that 'back of the bike sheds' sniggering about parts of ladies anatomy in here ! Simply because god gifted certain members of the fair sex with extremely large/ well shaped top bollocks is no reason for an outbreak of 'fnarr fnarr' type humour. The Fun Police are watching, you have been cautioned.
10. I bought the Curbow off Conan a couple of months back, my first 5er and my first active bass. I have been pleasantly surprised by the range of tones I can coax out of a single pup. Still struggling a little with 5 strings tho, there are times when the left and right hands seem to playing different things
11. Mid 70's Jap knock off of Triumph basses Peavey Milestones De Armond Jet-Stars Cort Curbow 5'ers Italia Tipos All unfashionable, all in my collection Fashionable ? Anything with Fender on the headstock In that respect I'm happily unfashionable
12.
You mean the piece I am currently working on that starts on the 15th fret is a bad thing.
It's all in your imagination, everyone knows a bass doesnt have fifteen frets.
13. I can't believe I'm reading this torrid nonsense ! Look away from the glitzy lure of the vile octave and repeat after me ' root - five - root - five -root - five -root - five -root - five -root - five -root - five -' . It has been good enough generations of players and it's good enough for you lot ! Next thing you know there will be talk of playing beyond the fifth fret.....
14. Hmmmm that black fiver is looking very reasonable..... will have to work out how much OT I have to do to cover it
15. Anyone who doesn't get the bass intro from Thin Lizzy- Dancing in the Moonlight should be ejected from the place
16. Are you going to be playing them live or playing intros from the original recordings ? Just a thought. Oh and heres another Golden Earring - Radar Love
17. Maybe 'Constructed in The UK' would be better ? Anyhows kudos to Mudie for coming here and talking, extra kudos for being honest about his sources etc.
18.
Plus one!
And another
19.
here is a clip of Dutch bass player using an electric model.
Cracking band but not keen on the singer, YMMV of course.
20. Please stop bumping this and bringing it to my attention yet again
21. Sadly I'm on a 'one-in-one-out' diet at the mo otherwise I would be happy to relieve you of this beauty. Maybe it's time to think about moving the Stagg EUB on.....

GONE

Have bump for a gorgeous bass. Sadly its way out of the price range I can justify as I only play at home nowadays
23.
Surely punk is playing whatever bass you want and not giving a f@#k if it's the right one.
Ahhh you aint gettin into the spirit of things ! Even though you are right up to a point, it was actually 'playing whatever bass you could get' Most players I knew around that time were more concerned with volume than tone
24.
Am I the only one who likes to try out on the upright the easier basslines I learn on bass guitar? Pop or rock, or whatever I've been learning at the moment, I will try just for fun, unless the bassline's too fast or jumps around the fretboard too much for my present skills.
+1 I'm (slowly) working my way through the transition from tab to notation and I find it easier to work out the lines on the bass guitar, to get them in my fingers/brain, then try out on DB.
