That has the rare distinction of making a Guild B302 look attractive.
OIII, there are some of us who prefer Guild to the endless FankenFender clones ! Must admit tho, my first thought was that he had taken a band saw to a B302

 3.
Hi Geek That's a relatively rare and very lovely bass you have there. Congratulations. Joe Veillette and Harvey Citron no longer work together, having amicably gone their separate ways a good few years ago. They are both still busy luthiers however and there's even a few Veillette basses in the UK these days (a couple owned by Gareth Morgan who's often seen around these parts). How do I know all this? Well I'm Joe Veillette's UK distributor. You can get an idea of what Joe is up to these days at www.veilletteguitars.com Regards Phil
I wish you hadn't posted that link Phil, those are some of the finest looking basses ever and I want one NOW !!! The fact that I probably can't afford em and they would be wasted on someone of my 'talents' makes no difference
 4. Over the years Jazz has been adept at adapting and incorporating different musical ideas as they came along. This has resulted in a wide range of music that can legitimately called Jazz. Not all this is going to appeal to everyone but its still Jazz. Try this for an example of what is referred to as 'Nu-Jazz'. I love this band, they mix all the right ingredients for me. 5.
The nudist gig will be horrible. You just know the audience will all be saggy 50 year olds who really should keep their clothes on... laugh.gif
OII!!!! Thats my target audience
 6.
Found him!!!
LEEEEETTTSSS RRRAAAWWWWKKK !!! If it is he then Mr Muller-Fokker is awesome
 7. Ok thats enough of this silliness, back to bed the lot of you. Would the real Mr. Muller-Fokker please stand up ! Theres a distinct aroma of Del Var about all of this. Oh wait, is it me ? The doctor did say the pre-change drugs might have some unusual effects on my mental health. Oh dear now I really don't know.
 8.
Giving it some thought - I'll sit this one out because I'm currently taking on more projects than I could finish in my remaining lifespan! So if you or anyone else fancies a pop please go for it & I hope you get a bargain. Expect to see me offloading a lot of stuff I'm never going to finish/use on here real soon. Anyone want a brand-new Badass 2, still in the packet? J.
Well guv I will be happy to give you a ton or so for the Talbo, purely for scrap value you understand
 9. I can't afford this but not being one to dissapoint.... whats yer new toy then
 10. "Posted with eBay Selling for iPhone" Ahh that explains it. Look like a complete tw*t ? Theres an app for that.
 11.
and where did they learn spelling and grammar??!??!??
I can put up with that but the inability to have a quick check of current prices for an item you are selling smacks of terminal stupidity. If there were a version of the Darwin Awards for Ebay sellers then this person would be a candidate.

 13. You could try this Iron Chrome with all the Google tracking taken out, works quite well for me.
 14.
Is this the same Brinsley who used to play with Graham Parker? Really nice guitarist if so!
Yup, one of the pub-rock greats, thats why I did the double take when I read the original quotes.
 15.
ask to speak to Brinsley Schwartz
Am I the only one to do a double take on this ?
 16.
I don't have the brain or fingers to be a very good bass player (that isn't false modesty, its a fact)
You and me got summat in common Clarky
 17. Get an iphone 4 and keep it more than a couple of inches away Well I think its funny
 18. Hmmm.... Make that second neck a little wider and you could add another three strings. Hey I think I've just invented the eight string bass
 19. I have nothing to say about this
 20. My tastes get odder as I get older, I have actually started to enjoy the sound of accordion !!! If I ever say the same about banjo would somebody please nip round and do the decent thing with a shotgun.
 21. Worst nightmare ? Waking up realising playing bass was a dream and I actually play banjo
 22.
Rob's a really good player, and probably far too good for Metallica's poor 'low in the mix' bass that theyve had for the past decade. That guy can play INCREDIBLY well.
Loved the stuff he did with Infectious Grooves, IMHO it was a downward step joining Metallica !
 23. Following on from this, how about a sticky at the top for people to post names/location/numbers of db luthiers they either have used or know of ?
 24. Nice
