  1. What kind of details? The bass is in mint condition and as far as I am aware totally original.
  2. I have no idea what it's worth now.
  3. Can't understand why this is still here, hell of a lot of bass for peanuts
  4. Yeah I do like mint, I had Jon Shuker strip the original rosewood board and fit a new maple one, it's just an eyesight thing but it does look and play well, early 90's I think, no issues at all I don't play it much because I got my Stingray back. I changed the P pickup to an SPB-1 because the original was too quiet for me, also removed the active loom and John (KiOgon) made me a new passive jobbie. Sounds great now. (Sorry to the OP for the thread hijack)
  5. I am, and I have quite a few. Fender Performer from the 80's, a mint Pink Paisley 50's bass, 2 brand new Antigua P and J basses, the Noel Jazz and others, a sandblasted P bass
  6. My PJ Lyte is exactly the same, also has a maple board. Great basses, especially that Jazz. GLWTS
  7. I know what you're thinking.... did he fire six shots or was it only 5? You've gotta ask yourself a question, do you feel lucky? WELL DO YA PUNK?
  8. Well this is mine, very thin neck, doddle to play, great sound. Stunning looks.
  9. Hiya Mick, I think it's uncomfortably close. I tried it next to my Stingray and the only things I noticed were the preamp was a bit thin and or maybe it was the pickup? Either way Kiogon could easily sort the loom out for not much money and you can get monster pickups for 60 or 70 quid. The quality of finish on this would rival a lot of good basses. I also have the 2 pickup version of it that I'm putting up next.
  10. That's a fine looking Squier Mike. GLWTS.
  11. I wouldn't, to me they look as though they have a growth on the bottom horn, just looks so ugly. I realise that beauty is in the eye of the beerholder....
  12. That is the best colour & maple combo I've ever seen, fantastic! I might even buy it, how old is it sir?
  13. A string not in the groove, any reason for that? Cheers.
  14. I had an acg once in Zebrawood and it was great, right up to the moment when I found that it had an assymetric neck shape and I couldn't get away with it at all. Just felt wrong and a bit ungainly. Is this one assymetric Bob?
  15. Just had a deal with Neil for his Caprice. What a pleasure! Fast, friendly communication and the bass is exactly as he described it, Superb. Fast delivery, I would happily deal again. A real asset to Basschat. All the best my friend. Tom.
  16. Yes I bought the yellow maple one, was £199 though but as said it's a great bass for the money. Must play it sometime.
  17. Here is my new Harley Benton MB-4 bought a few months ago and forgotten about as I got my lovely 2eq Stingray back. You know what they are, it's well set up and plays like it should. They are £100.00+ £10 delivery new so mine is £60. Delivery is £15 or sort it out yourself, up to you. Weight about 9.5 lbs
  18. These things play amazingly well for the money. Low action, big sound, what's not to like for that money?
  19. Smoothhound deffo, best I've ever used! my wife uses one on her 12 string guitar and it works great on my Stingray.
  20. Good thanks, I know what you mean about old ladies, my mum has just turned 98 and still going strong. Luckily my sister looks after her.
  21. Bob that is superb! My stingray is the same colour and it's gorgeous. How are you these days? Still fishing? Tom.
  22. This would go great with my Teal Stingray which I recently bought back. Just a bit expensive for me. I'm sure it's worth it though, gorgeous bass.
  23. Plays as well as it looks too.
  24. Here is my new Harley Benton bought a few months ago and forgotten about as I got my lovely 2eq Stingray back. You know what they are, it's well set up and plays like it should. They are £93.47 + delivery new so mine is £75. Delivery is extra or sort it out yourself, up to you. Weight about 9.5 lbs
  25. I have a walnut/ maple sub and would't sell it for the world, I also have a 2007 Stingray and it's worrying how alike they sound. I also bought both of the Harley Benton musicman copies and they are excellent too, sadly these 2 are going up for sale this week. I just have too many now.
