  1. That's right, but I mainly do church gigs so a noisy fan wouldn't go down well which is why I only need 100w or so, our church is upstairs with the hall underneath. It's a big echo ey space that the rumble sounds awful in. However the Mighty Trace upstairs rattles the old windows... It was taken up there in 2009 and hasn't moved since 😀 I would love another Markbass, an 802 micro but I can't justify over £500.
  2. Some good ideas here, forgot to mention that I have a Rumble 100 and don't like it very much so I'm going to sell it. To me it sounds boomy and not very clear or defined. There are a lot of buttons and knobs that just make it louder or quieter. Not like my markbass CMD 151P, which it won't sound anything like that. dunno....
  3. Thanks guys, I'm having my doubts about it now, I had the orange 100w combo, great sound and a lot of bottom end but crikey the weight... any suggestions for anything else in that range?
  4. Anyone rate them for small gigs? 100w head and 2x 10" cab
  5. Pics please Rich...
  6. I'm surprised this is still here, it's a brand new Squier bass in mint condition.
  7. The first pic shows the truss rod, the blue thing, (another tech term) Other than that it looks like any truss rod I suppose. Twincam might be able to tell you more.
  8. I actually bought it like this from GFM very cheaply and when it arrived I then started to think what to do with it So I have a new bass that's cost about 150 shimblats cheaper than a new one. I'm heavily into these so this will be my backup until Michael (Linus 27) sells me my original Teal Stingray back.
  9. I absolutely did, I was driving home with a stupid grin on my face! Been playing it for an hour or so and it's not even slightly out of tune.
  10. Well my neck has been fixed! and good. Setup with a low action, plays perfectly. I would just like to thanks Twincam for all his hard work in saving this neck, I'm blown away with his expertise, highly recommend him. Thanks Aidan.
  11. Used to sell them in my shop, most Vintage gear is quite good. Ton posted is very good value.
  12. Thanks guys, this is a very good example that's hardly been played. Part ex accepted, swaps etc.
  13. Just ordered one, thanks for that. Job done!
  14. I have a couple of shure 57's and you reckon they'll do the job? I'll go and try it, cheers Jack.
  15. Hiya, can anyone recommend a good pickup for making my Cajon louder please? I looked at the AUDIX 60 but it's nearly 200 quid, is there a cheaper way? Thanks for your help. Tom.

Another new bass just arrived @ chez Anderson. This is a sterling sub 4 in minty green and is in as new condition. It has been upgraded with an EMG MM TW pickup and active circuit (£100) or so and it sounds really good although not as loud as the original, but the sound is much more defined and controllable. It has a push pull volume which I haven't really explored yet, the other acts as a tone. the original pickup and circuit are in there too along with a very good hard/soft case. All for £210.
  17. Would you just sell the body please?
  18. Ah yes, that's my new Microwave amp amp, pushes out 850 watts AND cooks you lunch at the same time. Got it new with our motorhome but never needed it, whoever buys the drum kit can have it free.
  19. For sale is my Gear4music 430 drum kit, used for about 30 mins before I realised that I'll never be a drummist so I'll stick with bass and sell it on. It comes with all the kit in the advert plus I will include a Stagg 30w acoustic amp and a connecting cable so you're ready to play. https://www.gear4music.com/Drums-and-Percussion/Digital-Drums-430-Electronic-Drum-Kit-Package-Deal/1E61 l'll leave it set up so you can try it. Thanks for reading.
  20. You do realise that perfect pitch is related to Banjos?? When you lob one into a skip it mustn't touch the sides as it goes in..... hence perfect pitch? oh never mind.
  21. FWIW I used to solder my joints but now I only use KiOgon's looms, they are so strongly made using excellent quality parts as mentioned above, it's not worth bothering yourself.
