  1. ...and made in the UK. I use them as a benchmark. "Is a.n. other's case better or worse than a Hiscox?"
  2. Hiscox STD-EBS hard case. Used but good condition and key included. Pictures to follow this weekend. £70 posted to UK mainland, £60 collected from Kingswood, Bristol.
  3. Thanks Andy. It's a handsome looking bass.
  4. Excuse my ignorance, but what is it about this guitar that makes it a FSR? It looks to me like a American Vintage '75 Reissue. I'm not questioning its provenance, I'm just curious to know.
  5. Sunburst (any burst) guitars should be put in their own grubby little thread where they can't offend me. I've lost count of the number of times (at least twice) I've read the description and told myself "I've always wanted one of them". I open the thread and see that the price is right, "NOW you've got my attention". It's not a million miles away, "could this be the one?" Scroll down the first image to reveal the headstock..."yes'm"... neck... "yep, it's a neck"... body... "no chance" It damn well breaks my heart.
  6. This looks nice.
  7. Just sold Beely a gig bag. Swift comms and swift payment. A pleasure to do business with. Many thanks!
  8. This is surely a stone cold bargain. Some bloke had his 'priced to sell' at £250 on facebook the other day. Gawd loves a trier apparently.
  9. If you can play them in your sleep then you'll be fine. Nervous energy is a positive thing. Once it's over you might notice that some women, who had once been indifferent to your presence, will look at you in an entirely unwholesome way.
  10. It's getting to be a bit like War & Peace in here so, I suspect I can write whatever I want and nobody will notice it anyway. It gives me enormous pleasure to post again on Paul's massive gear tart wall of shame. Few Basschatters can surpass the mans ability to buy and sell gear on this forum. Even less have ever been so, so fickle. This post will no doubt shortly be buried under the numerous future accolades, winging their way across the cyber space, to this thread, as I type. Many thanks Paul... until the next time. 😉 P.S. I bought a hard case.
  11. Both gone. Thanks for the interest.
  12. £10 posted for the Stagg bag. Collected for only a fiver. It's not completely useless, it's made from padded material, just don't drop your bass! I'll never use it because I've got a Gator Go Pro gig bag to use instead. It just takes up space.
  13. Bought a bass that arrived this afternoon as predicted. Swift response, good comms, as described. What more can you ask for? Another Basschat stalwart. Highly recommended. Until next time, many thanks Jamie.
  14. Second time dealing with Graham on the Basschat merry-go-round. Can't recommend him highly enough. A Basschat stalwart. Thanks Graham.
  15. Fender Bag sold. Just the Stagg bag left.
  16. Sorry to hear this Ade. Besh wishes mate and hopefully things will recover with time.
  17. SOLD. Thanks for the interest.
  18. The Fender bag sold pending collection. Just the Stagg bag left, £15 posted or £10 collected.
  19. They're both for normal 34" scale basses and postage in the UK is a fiver each. Someone has already PM'ed me about the Fender bag and they have first dibs.
  20. A couple of gig bags for sale. UK postage add £5 each. First up is a basic Stagg gig bag. I only bought this bag to transport a bass home on the bus when I bought a Stingray from a local forumite. I put said bass in the bag and then @Burns-bass kindly offered me a lift home. Absolute waste of money. The Stingray now resides safely in a Hiscox and this thing has been sat on top of my wardrobe ever since, mocking me. It's not very well padded but it will perform the task of keeping the dust off, and allow you to carefully carry your bass on your back, admirably. £10 collected from Kingswood, Bristol. Get it out of my sight! Next up is a Fender Gig bag. This one's a bit more like it. @jfleshsent me a jazz bass all the way from the south of France in this, (albeit in a well padded cardboard box). The padding in this one is much thicker. It looks almost new and it's still got the hang tag attached. The jazz now lives in a hard case and this sits on top of the first gigbag, which sits on top of my wardrobe, but doesn't mock me as much... it just takes up space. £20 collected from Bristol. Thanks for looking.
  21. I went and bought that one I had my eye on. Just need to make space for the new arrival. Now £100 collected from Bristol. £125 posted in UK without case. £130 posted with case.
  22. Emminently gigable but could be a quality back up bass. I've got one eye on another bass for sale in the forum because I've never tried one... and life is short. I haven't got the space for them all!
  23. Could the new search engine include the location field in sales threads please?
  24. Still available.
  25. It's a shame to see somebody who was held in such high esteem fall from grace. I recall him being a well respected and highly recommended member of the forum and was sad to hear from people who lost out dealing with him when he was going through a rough patch. If this bad stuff is still happening, then I'm glad the experience has been shared.
