Sure, but it doesn't change the fact that most people prefer hardshell cases. Mono cases run from $180 to $270...and this new one sure isn't the Vertigo.

For the price they ask, it's a shame they're no longer including hardshell cases...and I'm big on gigbags!

A mistake or purposeful misrepresentation, there has been ample time for Fender/Gretsch to respond to the bass community. That they have not done so, leads me to believe they're trying their best to come up with a plausible explanation that will basically amount to bs.

Those ridiculous tooled-leather pickguards. Sure, just a mod, but so hideous I wouldn't even try out a bass with one.

Unfinished headstocks. Absolutely ruins the look of a bass. With a maple fretboard, no problem, but with rosewood,, ebony, etc? Looks like crap.
