I've used Disk Wizards for an number of projects over the last couple of years.
That's who we use. Never had any complaints and they do special offers if you like them on arsebook. The also do digipaks which look a lot better than just a carboard sleeve. Cheaper than 950 sheets too.
 2. Buy another bass - kick your girlfriend out - problem solved ! Thank me later !
 3. Listen to the band Agnostic Front. Roger Miret seems to get away with singing out of tune most of the time - if he can do it, I'm sure anyone can do it.
 4. I used to have a black one of these and it still irks me now that I sold it. They are superb - ultra reliable Floyd Rose too which isn't floating and ensures the thing stays in perfect tune. The neck is also probably the most comfortable neck I have ever played on a guitar ever. They really are that good. Considering these aren't made any more I'd snap this one up - the only reason I'm not is that I am broke at the moment
 5. Cleaned my teeth, put on my best clobber, Tonight's the night I'm going to knob her Vauxhall Viva's covered in rust, But you can't shag a bird on a 29 bus ... Beer and Sex and Chips and Gravy Macc Lads Extra kudos for using a kazoo in the song
 6. I oughta have my f***ing head examined for screwing with a skank like you. But it wasnt like I really fell for you, I was just cold and empty through and through... (Blood For Blood, So Common, So Cheap) All you numbers in the cell block: All you sweating in the detox: To all you hoods that are dodging cops And to all you bleeding from a broken heart You know youve got a brother here. ... (Blood For Blood, Hanging on the Corner Blood)
 7. I always class Motorhead's first album "On Parole" as pub rock. Some great tracks on there too ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kegItmzd--o
 8. I saw the title of this thread and thought - this is going to be the usual pony shred / fretboard ego trip but after giving it a listen, its actually very very good. Well done to you sir. Great playing and a great song too.
 9.
Was Dudley Moore on piano? 'Cos in this shot the bassist looks to me like Peter Cook
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZEEgIti8sM
 10. Can anyone recommend a good recording studio in the North London / East London / Essex region for recording metal ? Budget is up to £200 a day. We're previously recorded at Perry Vale studios in South London which were superb, but expensive and difficult to get to for the band, so we're looking for somewhere a bit closer to home. Any suggestions ?
 11.
My POD X3 LIVE is now sporting a deep scar from a 4" stiletto heel too.
That'll teach you to play bass wearing them. You've been warned about your dress sense before. I suggest you take it on board !
 12. Never get tired listening to this album ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLDyhcAKZ60
 13.
I love Maiden, excluding the non-Bruce years and The Final Frontier.
I'm the opposite, I thought DiAnno was the man !
 14.
Has anyone noticed market trends with regards to equipement ? seems that some gear rides an incoming wave of popularity, then slowly begins to sour on the player's pallet, leading to loads of said gear coming up for sale as the tide goes out.
All the 80s hair metal guitars such as the Ibanez RG series and Charvels spring to mind. Same goes for Warwicks. Back in the 90s almost every bassist on the box was using one. Now it seems to be Precisions are in vogue.
 15.
^ As above really! All purpose condenser on a budget? Look no further than the Rode - NT1A (I need one) - Just don't put it too close to a bass amp!
I've got an NT2 and its a great mic for vocals. Not tried it for anything else but sounds great to my ears.
 16.
I'll have the Who box, please - if you're going to split them, that is.
I've got this and its superb. Well worth buying.
 17. I gave up for 10 years and came back much more focussed, enthusiastic and mature. Giving up temporarily ain't a bad thing - giving up permanently is I reckon.

 19. Bought some strap locks from Alain which were delivered promptly and well packed. Thanks mate
 20.
I've just bought a HT5 head and that sounds superb. It was a toss-up between that and the Orange Dark-Terror. The HT5 sounds superb. Loads of gain. I quite fancy this though - for the price, you can't go wrong.
Oh and by the way, you have to remember Chappers is a supreme guitar player.
 21.
Similarly to the Blackstar HT5H it's a great sounding head through the matching cab but (again same at the HT5H) once you put it through a good 4x12... just, wow. The price just seems totally disconnected from good the thing sounds. Gets incredibly close the Tiny Terror (albeit a fair bit quieter)
I've just bought a HT5 head and that sounds superb. 22.
Do they do a relic-ed version though?
Nah, only Roadworn
 23. Can it do Motorhead ?
 24. I've just bought the head version of this (with reverb) and can confirm they are superb value for money. There's plenty of gain in there as well as having really nice clean sounds too.
 25.
This is why, IMO, its much better to be a bassist in a punk band compared to most metal where the bass is usually too slow, dull, and boring. There are expections, obviously, but if you love bass, punk (especially modern punk like NOFX, Lagwagon, A Wilhelm Scream) is the way to go.
thumbsup!
