  1. And another shout for the Sennies HD206... I'd start there. Vox amplugs and the like arn't all that and break, so don't bother and save that cash... Uf thats the sort of thing you are after the EHX Hradphone amp is basic but metal and bomb proof. Or Look out for a Zoom B1on or Zoom B1Four...
  2. I'm thinking of writing a little ditty called 'Black Friday'...
  3. My Luthier Life or My Luthier File...
  4. Uses a Magnetic Switch?.. The bar sitting on the white block... relay?
  5. Dust of Time - Hawkwind
  6. ^ I think there is just a lot of bridge behind the standard screw holes...
  7. It's probably only a small delay, between finger and ear... but enough to drive ya mad!
  8. I think the main thing you might come up against is lag, latency... Sennhieser HD206 @ £20 have a long 3m lead. I use 'em with my Zoom B1on.
  9. Your location says Essex... hopefully someone local may sort you out a try...
  10. So a DB player that wants to try effects... No a Elec Bass Player that wants to sound like a DB... If the former, if you have a good pickup and play with the amplified sound to influence the acoustic sound enough... Should not be an issue. Where are you based(!)? Sure someone may pay you with some pedals or multi FX for a play.
  11. Dog Eat Dog - Adam and the Ants
  12. Stick a Split P up front... 😉
  13. For info Planet Guitars are local to me. Although not used them personaly... https://www.planetguitar.org.uk/our-services/fret-work/
  14. ^ I imagine both lots of pickups are passive, and just the Pre is the active part... 1 for 1 wiring swap... presume Pos from each pickup with shared ground... Are you removing the Power Tap?.. I would try disconnecting the lead first hopefully defaults to std 'bucker. Mk1 Barts? These are infact a Reverse Split P in a Soapbar not a full width humbucker. No real need to replace the pre, although you could go passive Been thinking something similar Mk1 Bart, Passive V and T... Simple P SR... and cover the bridge cavity and 3x EQ holes.
  15. @Mykesbass... Thats cos it is Wilko...
  16. Happy for you... You shouldn't be looking at it... Now put it away it's not Christmas yet!
  17. Just having me some Budgie on the mp3 n headphones... Burke's P bass... lovely warm tone, cleanish light driven sound and smooth playing.
  18. Half Man, Half Biscuit...
  19. Heaven knows i'm miserable now - Smiths...
  20. Likes a Classic Simple P Bass... My bitsa ha a Jazz Neck. But also like the Jazz body, but have gone Jazz PJ... Best of Both and makes a change from a P PJ...
  21. 1@SumOne like the small controlcontro idea... @Velarian did something with his P to give a similar look to his Jazz...
