1. Just sold my Orange Terror Bass 500 to Karl. A pleasure to deal with. Good communication, very quick and easy. Highly recommended.
2. Now sold. Thanks everyone. Contribution to BC on its way.
3. Pretty good. Pretty sure my amp is now sold. Now all I have to do is decide what to replace it with. Hmm mb500? LmII? MiBass? Decisions decisions

Naked bass players.

ha! he's a braver man than me. Looks like he's having a good time.
5. Hi Everyone, Wow, thanks for all your interest and PMs. I'm pretty sure I've replied to everyone but if I've missed you I'm sorry, just been a little inundated. On hold now.
6. Ok all PMs are now replied to. Thanks for your interest but still available. Would consider trading for a small, powerful amp head (Gallien Krueger, LittleMark, TC electronics etc)
7. Lovely feeling to be happy with what we've got.
8. Great rehearsal and writing session last night. Made me happy. Now for lyrics
9. yep love that part of the evening. Nerves, bit of chat, maybe a cheeky pint. Seeing the audience come in. Great.
10.
none of us are irreplaceable.
Sad but true to an extent. Having said that, I'd say that some bands wouldn't have produced the songs they have with different members so I guess it depends on how much the player contributes to songwriting.
11.
The busiest venues are booked solid through to 2014.
I don't know if this is possible for you but I've got in with venues in the past by offering the band as a short notice fill in for when other bands cancel on them.
12. Personally I have most success with local venues and promoters where I know the booker personally or at least a name and a face. Get down to as many gigs as possible and get chatting to the booker/organiser. Then they know your face and that you're "part of the scene". Works for me. Seems like you're aiming for non-local venues though. No advice on this I'm afraid so I'll be watching this thread with interest.
13. If you can't get on then that's it really isn't it? On the other hand it seems a shame to have spent 3 years on the band and then quit after 1 gig. Maybe talk to the other members and let them know where you stand? Best of luck with whatever you decide.
14. welcome to the forum. Questions are always welcome.
15. PMs replied to. Thanks for your interest. Still available.

17. NOW SOLD. Thanks for your interest. Orange Terror Bass 500 for sale Including the very handy carry bag and inline attenuator (pretty sure its -20DB) Stock valves, excellent condition. This has been gigged but never pushed to its limit. Website with details and spec. £350, I'm in Leicester and would prefer collection. Edit - Would consider trading for a class D amp (Gallien Krueger, LittleMark, TC electronics etc)
18.
The Orange SP210 for me & I regularly get soundmen commenting on how good it is.
Same here. A surprising amount of volume in a little, lightish, portable box. Probably wouldn't buy one brand new though as they're pretty expensive. They pop up on here second hand sometimes.
19.
I`d say Duff McKagans sound is quite good for this:
Thanks very much.
20. sorry to ask a potentially stupid question but this "typical GK sound" people are referring to? Can anyone recommend some recordings where I can hear really strong examples of it?
21. Sounds like that'll be great. Be sure to keep us up to speed with pics!
22. For me its a combination of 3 things. 1) practice until its second nature. 2) learn the lyrics. To be fair I sing a lot of lead vocals in the current band so I have to but there's no chance I'm going to miss the change from chorus to verse or lose track of which verse we're on. 3) memory jogs (e.g. starter lyrics, which instrument starts the song, how it ends etc) noted on the set next to my mic stand.
23. Welcome to the forum. Lovely gear, band sounds great.
