  1. Thieving scum. I hope they do a gig with the stolen gear, pull a groupie, catch an STD, and their nob drops off.
  2. Interesting article, albeit he made the rookie mistake when discussing 'tension'.
  3. That'd be Razzle, yesterday afternoon.
  4. I was never a fan of Q. Too glossy, not absorbent enough. Made a right mess of my behind. On the downside, I read it quite a lot as it was often the only music mag on sale at airports and such like.
  5. The SUB has had some very complimentary reviews.
  6. Why are you using shoulder straps if you have back problem?
  7. That is really nice. I love the 90s look. A lot of modern basses try and pull off the style but never seem to get it quite right. Did you pay much for her?
  8. 5kg is nothing for me, but I'm a big lump. If you otherwise love the instrument and it's only your back putting you off, then why not try one of the various hip strap systems out there?
  9. George Harrison's Cheer Down. We've decided to add it to our set list is a nice, bouncy, easy listening song to open with. That's fine by me as George is one of my musical heroes and I love the song.
  10. Great band, a diverse body of work, most of it excellent.
  11. You've tried the middle ground, and for whatever reason that isn't helping to resolve the situation. Send it back for a refund and start again elsewhere.
  12. Buddy Holly by Weezer. Not too taxing, but good fun to thrash away at.
  13. Same here, I've often considered the mandolin. Mrs Bassfinger plays the pink oboe, much to my delight 😉
  14. Aye, gold machine heads, when they arrive.
  15. I still have a semi, but it's a bit closer to the climax now.
  16. Geddy Lee's Big Beautiful Book of Bass. It won't help your playing, but it'll give you full on GAS.
  17. What a wonderful bass. Lovely condition, and a beautiful simplicity to the design. I shall be insanely jealous of whicher lucky schmoe buys it.
  18. I quite like the Rick-O-Like they do. Not quite a clone, but still a nice variation.
  19. Oh no, not for me I'm afraid. There's just too much going on visually for my old set-in-its-ways eye.
  20. I wouldn't say I miss it, but I am looking forward to our next gig. Playing to the bedroom mirror doesn't give me that same thrill.
  21. It's a dance tune. The topic did not specify an era or a sub genre, and I quite like it.
  22. I agonized over that question for some time, but the neckmis on the way and the fretboard is... Rosewood.
