  1. Thanks! Yes, I'd considered that but it's how and where to clip/place the transmitter given it's not designed to strap-mount. Also, given the bass is active it would mean unplugging twice during breaks, which is no biggie but reduces convenience...
  2. I play Fender Dimension basses with Boss' WL-20 wireless transmitter. Given the position of the output jack, I keep knocking the WL-20 with my leg whilst playing and thus the little spring-loaded prong on the WL-20 loses contact with the jack socket, switches off and silence ensues 😁 Moving the jack socket or changing to a strap mounted transmitter would solve, but the thought occurs that a Neutrik NJ3FP6C locking socket might fix things without woodworking / too many £££. I've got an ancient Ibby BTB with one such socket to test this idea with, but when the WL-20 is plugged in there's still enough play on it to allow the WL-20 to be pulled out enough to switch off. I'm wondering, though, if that's maybe because my Ibby is 20 years old and heavily used! Has anyone out there got a new(ish) Neutrik NJ3FP6C that can try the pull test, please? As in, does the jack pull out at all (obvs, without pressing the red release tab)? Fitting a socket in place of the existing one would still need some woodworking but not too much coz the standard Fender socket is already pretty chunky! Thanks folks!
  3. Well confess I’ve not tried it on pedals, only MainStage. That was easy though: enter assign mode in MS then press the switch on the M-Vave. TBH they’re £30 on Prime which means you can return if no good… worth a punt! I should try it on my pedals really, but I’ve got a Morningstar so don’t really need to!
  4. Sennheiser E935 all the way for vocal mics. A noticeable improvement over the SM58s! Guitard in one of my bands uses a Behringer £20 jobby coz “it sounds better than a Shure”. Err, no. It sounds like a sock drawer.
  5. The M-Vave Chocolate is great isn’t it?! No right to be as good as it is for £30. Bought one for my lad to do Bluetooth page turning, triggering MainStage patches etc. Silly easy to set up!
  6. Jon Haire is great, been using him for years. Peterborough. https://www.jonhaireguitar.co.uk
  7. I love this! I’m so impressed with any of y’all that do any bass building or modding. Just beyond me. Good work!!
  8. For pickups I’d investigate Nordstrand. Never heard one of their pups I don’t like. Loads of size options, voicing options and single/bucking options.
  9. @dmccombe7 - +1 on the gauge thing from me. I moved to heavier D and G strings on my fivers and I’ve found the same, noticeable improvement to balance of sound across the board
  10. I don’t know, but I’ll test! It’s at least 100m I reckon.
  11. Good gig tonight with 4 Play (kill me, not my band etc). Singer only had one brandy and coke and it showed… way less cluck ups. Need to sort the guitard’s pedalboard and amp coz the volume was all over the place. I cranked the GK at the end and I NEVER turn up after soundcheck, EVER. Not a great sound - I’m gonna bring my personal vocal mon for an exclusive Aux 2 mix next time. But: played well overall and the pub (Blue Bell, Werrington near Peterborough) is a proper music venue. Lovely people, great room, excellent beers, crowd there for the music. Lots of compliments including for my playing AND tone (rightly so, Moley’s good tonight isn’t he?). So chuffed with that!
  12. They are great. I’ve set my home (obvs) and my guitar repair man’s workshop as “safe” places otherwise I get told if I leave her behind. She’s back home now, resting…
  13. Just a note on battery life… I’ve just changed it (was in the case, stopped being lazy and put it in the bass today after changing it) and I reckon that’s 2.5 years on one CR2032 battery. Very good!
  14. Old thread, but good work @dmdavies - newly installed in Betsy and another four ordered for other gear!
  15. I’m also very phaser-y atm. In my case the SA Mercury’s 12 stage sound. As noted, excellent with a bit of grit. But with or without it’s so big it sounds like a plane taking off. Excellent.
  16. Just opened Basschat on safari iPhone today and got a German cookie banner! I confirmed my Verstanding ok though!
  17. I LOVE the purple 5… gonna have a watch/listen of the YT clips later… very nice
  18. Excellent work here. These Rockboards are so nicely designed… much more space underneath than my Pedaltrain JR. I’d be able to sling my HPF under one of those and fit an EQ in its place on top of the board. Hmmm
  19. @Merton - brilliant!! Good work… I checked out her stuff when you joined up, she’s great! Nice gig to land
  20. That is superb. @SurroundedByManatees - you have brought many many beautiful things to these pages but that’s gotta be top 5! Rare as hen’s teeth I would guess…
  21. @Bassman68 has called it right here, I think. Something lovely about the big footprint EHX muffs, and that one’s a killer! Why did I sell mine?!?
  22. Bought a Bass Station DI box from Andy. All good, no issues, great piece of kit! Thanks!!! Colin
  23. I’m just going to hijack so I can kick myself in public. Idiot. LOOK at it. And the sound!! Suhr pups and preamp.
