What is your budget and how loud are you prepared to put up with 😄? You could get a Fender Rumble 15 for around £110 or there's the Harley Benton HB-20B for £68

Funnily, I'm just in the middle of watching an unboxing/review video. I think it's the first time he has done one and he explained that he's doing it so that viewers see how the guitar arrives, how it's packed etc, rather than seeing him a review a guitar that he's already tuned and adjusted the action and relief on.

The only thing he did was yesterday.

I'm only a bedroom player, so I like to have a glass of beer or two while I play sometimes.

Can I add bicycles to that list? I made that mistake on Monday night. A few grazes and a very sore shoulder has taught me a lesson.

You get snobbery in all walks of life, as far as gear is concerned. When I was younger I probably had an element of snobbery about things like that, but as I've grown older, I've realised that it really doesn't matter that much what gear you are using, it's what you do with it. I play a Squier Jazz bass that I've had for 30 years and recently bought a Harley Benton Telecaster as I've only just started playing electric guitar and didn't want to fork out a fortune on something I may not enjoy or be able to play. I may upgrade to a better guitar at some point, but for now, I can get a bit of a tune out of it and am happy with it.

I always group Slippery with Europe's the Final Countdown. I think they were released around the same time and I might even have bought both on the same day.
