  1. Eric Clapton - racism/anti-semitism (though apparently he apologised in more recent years, blaming it on drink and drugs). Van Morrison - anti-lockdown diatribes and calling the health minister "dangerous" Morrissey - where do you start?
  2. Had they been playing over here? I don't think any of SLF live here now. I think Jake Burns lives in USA. Ali McMordie may live here or possibly England. I would say Ian McCallum and Steve Grantley probably both live in England. That reminds me, I must see if there are any tickets left to see them in Belfast in August.
  3. Would my Fender Rumble 25 be big enough for the O2? It's all I've got. πŸ₯Ί πŸ˜„
  4. Imagine if Diana Ross came on this thread to reply... 😏
  5. What is your budget and how loud are you prepared to put up with πŸ˜„? You could get a Fender Rumble 15 for around Β£110 or there's the Harley Benton HB-20B for Β£68
  6. Funnily, I'm just in the middle of watching an unboxing/review video. I think it's the first time he has done one and he explained that he's doing it so that viewers see how the guitar arrives, how it's packed etc, rather than seeing him a review a guitar that he's already tuned and adjusted the action and relief on.
  7. The only thing he did was yesterday.
  8. I'm only a bedroom player, so I like to have a glass of beer or two while I play sometimes.
  9. Can I add bicycles to that list? I made that mistake on Monday night. A few grazes and a very sore shoulder has taught me a lesson.
  10. I'd sand and lacquer it, then stick the corner guards back on. πŸ˜ƒ
  11. Welcome to the site!
  12. There's this one on Reverb for Β£2.5k https://reverb.com/uk/item/55201868-fender-stu-hamm-artist-series-signature-urge-ii-bass-1999-2007-bright-sapphire-metallic but there's also a black one for Β£1.4k
  13. You get snobbery in all walks of life, as far as gear is concerned. When I was younger I probably had an element of snobbery about things like that, but as I've grown older, I've realised that it really doesn't matter that much what gear you are using, it's what you do with it. I play a Squier Jazz bass that I've had for 30 years and recently bought a Harley Benton Telecaster as I've only just started playing electric guitar and didn't want to fork out a fortune on something I may not enjoy or be able to play. I may upgrade to a better guitar at some point, but for now, I can get a bit of a tune out of it and am happy with it.
  14. I always group Slippery with Europe's the Final Countdown. I think they were released around the same time and I might even have bought both on the same day.
  15. Well, you nailed that. Nice job. I'll get to see the real thing in a couple of weeks. πŸ˜ƒ
  16. Why didn't he just tune up before he started playing. πŸ˜ΆπŸ˜†
  17. πŸ˜‰ I did German for A-Level. only got a D, but that one I do remember. πŸ˜„
  18. Lieder. Leider means unfortunately, so maybe you did use it correctly πŸ˜„
  19. Not jealous. Not jealous at all. (very fudging jealous). Health to enjoy and here's to many happy hours practising there!
