  1. They were originally called The Guilford Stranglers.
  2. You are going straight to hell
  3. Iron Maiden did something similar on a German TV programme once, only they waited until the song had started before switching instruments part way through.
  4. I can't remember but it was probably Peggy Sue or All Day and All of the Night.
  5. I can't help with the repair, but what about wearing a rubber thimble to stop making it any worse?
  6. It's possible that a lot of these kids are creative as well as having the ability to play the covers really well. They might just put their own music up in their Bandcamp or Soundcloud and post the covers, almost as clickbait, to get people to check out their original stuff.
  7. If it's a covers band, then I'd say the occasional "thank you very much" between songs along with the odd "are you having a good time" would be fine, apart from when one song runs into the next obviously. If it's an originals band, then maybe a bit more chat between songs - introduce the band, give the song titles, that sort of thing. For a tribute band I'd expect it to be similar to what the actual band do.
  8. Did you think of that joke on the (Mc)Fly? πŸ˜†
  9. Black was the album that turned me off Metallica, then Nevermind came out and my musical tastes took a different direction.
  10. Learn the new lyrics too. πŸ˜„
  11. I think it would have to be "The Worst of The Beatles" πŸ˜„
  12. I still think of "Heatseeker" as a new Ac/DC song, as it's the first new song I can remember them releasing, even though it's over 30 years ago. πŸ˜„
  13. It was the first Iron Maiden album I ever owned. Loved it then and still do. Was it more that the critics who didn't like the keyboards, rather than the fans.
  14. He didn't say, unfortunately. I've seen a couple of videos with him recently. In this one they gave him a Gibson custom guitar. He seemed to like the finish for the most part but overall looked like he had stepped in some dog's doings πŸ˜„. In the other video they asked him to select a favourite Squier from a bunch. He was pretty impressed with them. I'll see if I can find the vids. Correction, it's an '85
  15. I saw a video on YouTube recently, with Ron Thorn, one of Fender's master builders. He said that out of his collection of guitars, his favourite is a '95 (I think) Squier.
  16. I looked them up and realised "oh yeah, of course I know him"
  17. I'd never heard of them, but they were fantastic (did you notice his trousers started falling apart? πŸ˜„)
