Shame , great player (( -
I was there from '79 onwards . A massive maiden fan , until di'anno left. I had to send a postal order for this , back in the day . Not really a maiden fan now , and haven't touched this for years . Slight wear on the cover. Vinyl itself is vgc. Not mint , as I played it a few times In the early years. There are a lot of forgeries about , but I have the real deal . Ask. any questions about the grooves at the end( numbers etc) and I will confirm I have the original . I don't do hero worship like I used to , and I think this should go to a true iron Will post . Bomb proof packaging of course, or meet in twickenham/ central London

selling , as I no longer play vinyl. Here we have a fantastic turntable , complete with rega bias tonearm. Although a barely used ortofon cartridge is already fitted, I will chuck in a nagaoka one also. (You will have to buy your own stylus for the ortofon ). Two things I must mention ; first - no lid ! They never. Seemed to last for some reason. Secondly , a small part on the shell of the rega tonearm has been damaged( see pic). Other than that , the turntable works great in every way . I will also chuck in a turntable mat and record cleaners . Hit me with offers;) Collection from twickenham only Cheers Ratm

BCers Prepared to Help Fix a Bass
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE replied to Grangur's topic in Repairs and Technical
Great thread rich I'm not too handy, but did adjust a truss rod successfully -
Due to huge incoming bills , I have to trim the herd. Not liking this, but as I've not done anything for ages, something has to give. So, first we have a Dean Taxi Hollowbody in bright yellow , with chequered binding ( just like an American taxi). It has a few dings , but nothing major .Comes with a Stagg Hard Case, which are hard to come by also. Second bass , is a Steinberger xm2/3 it comes with a few dings , as it's almost 30 years old. A new jack socket , and one new claw have been fitted. It has the split pickups, and not the usual humbuckers. Very hard to come by . It comes with the well worn zip bag, and letters. May split . If I post the steinberger, postage will be about £30 extra. Can't really post the taxi bass, as I would imagine it to be expensive . Collection from twickenham ,or meet in central London More pics later RATM

tempted by this... Vester Jazz-alike for £70
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE replied to alyctes's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
I have a vester fretless, Warwick thumb copy . Brilliant bass. There is a fretted equivalent on the bay at the moment , and would snap that up if I had the readies . Can't go wrong with vester IMHO, -
Aguilar gear. what are they worth.?
RAY AGAINST THE MACHINE replied to bubinga5's topic in Amps and Cabs
I miss my Aguilar gear. £700-750 good price . Go for it ( I had the same amp , with a db112 no tweeter btw) -
Reading this , makes me want a five string. I had one before , but never quite had time to gig with it ,as I was learning songs in 2 cover bands. Good luck Billy

Thought I'd share : Myself and female friend on our way to Wembley to see rammstein ( via Piccadilly line underground ). We got lost in the crowd , and seperated. Then I remember me , my oldest brother and his friend just entering Wembley arena. Go back to my parents place where I woke up confused the next morning. I told my brother that I could not remember anything about ' last night '. What happened etc. My brother was being evasive . Eventually he told me I got refused entry because I split my trousers . ( only at the side of my leg ) . So I was shouting at him . Then I woke up. Amazing what tricks the subconscious mind plays . Anyone had anything similar ?

Good question Tim I don't think they were that big a deal until the 90s, when Metallica / slayer/ anthrax ( even megadeth) sited them as a huge influence .
