1. Alternatively , you could strap the bass back on , get a couple of synth type effects and do away with keyboard . Or, play bass & get a keyboardist
2. It was made by gender iirc, with red LEDs
3. It was half fretted / half fretless. We're they any good?!we're not talking Billy Sheehan quality playing here , but possibly 2 basses in one Anybody done it ?
4. I'm gonna wait till Saturday It's not a huge amount, but if it feels the same as my vester , then £250 is a bargain . Only affording it ( just) as there's no council tax/ water bill for 2 months . If o don't get it , I'll steer clear of anything for sale for a long time
5. Saw a fretted version of my vester fretless bass. On there at the moment . Been relisted. Asked buyer if he wanted to do a buy it now price .( I was thinking£250) He gave me long winded answer. Next day , and wanted £350-400. T oo expensive IMHO . Nobody has bid yet . £200 starting price . 2 days left . If I bid £250 I have a feeling games will be played . Your thoughts ??
6. Will be the winery dogs on Sunday . I hate gigs on Sunday's because of London transport issues. They were gonna play Shepherd's Bush , and my friend was happy to drive me there. It got moved to Kentish Town , where my friend was reluctant to take his car . I was gonn bail out , but I am going now .
7. Good deal . I have a full body steinberger , and already have s gk combo , so I'll pass. Bloody gas!
8. I've just sold a telecaster Bass. I was at my most broke ever . I will be getting some spare cash within about 18 months , then I can buy a new 'expensive bass '. Sell if you really really have to ( ie no money for food for the momth etc).
9. Yngwie malmsteen , hates that kind of stuff with a passion.Apparently , he personaloses everything he signs . A few years back , at a gig he headlined at the hammy O , he threw a guitar into the crowd. Me and my friend caught the body. I let m friend have it . He received a lot of abuse from malmsteens fans on their fan club website . He did sell it eventually I think. He got malmsteen to sign it also
10.
I'm not concerned about such things but can see why the OP is. A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to buy a Lemmy signature 4004 bass and confess that when he died I found myself wishing that I had bought it because the value had probably risen sharply in the short term.
I used to always go to the Notting hill record & tape exchange in the 80/90s. One Saturday morning , one of the guys behind the counter showed me a ric, that was supposed. To be one of lemmys for sale . They wanted £1000 for it . 1) it didn't feel playable 2) was it lemmys ?? 3) I couldn't afford it . 4) that shop was a rip off most of the time ,)
11. I suppose it all depends really . The seller may get a couple of hundred for it IMHO . The description wouldn't show on my iPhone for some reason. I've always been a fan of metal ( and ambient ). As a kid , I was a collector , more by accident . When I was playing my older brothers vinyl, it had the box shape lp cover, it was an original pressing , original inner sleeve etc. Buying the same thing news few. Years later, all of that was missing . The pressing was crap etc. I was a huge fan of iron maiden . Saw them around 20 or so times . I found a copy of their very first release , which I could only get by post.(£1.20) Because my tastes changed/ not playing vinyl anymore/ and being really broke , I sold it on eBay for £370.result. I met Metallica in shades record shop one lunchtime . Got severely told off by my bosses . They signed a white label test pressing , which I paid £1.2o in Camden market . Because cliff died , i got over a grand for that and the poster . Still a fan , but it made sense to sell at ghe time 12 years ago.' When pic discs came out , they were rare . When CDs came out , I sold the pic discs. Being poor, from a working class background , sometimes you're forced to sell.
12.
why did you sell it? now you'll have to buy another one.... or two
Feels odd now it's gone .sold it due to a couple of large bills . I'm trying to hold fire - for now I will , if I want , but an expensive bass to make up for it in a few months . Now , staying disciplined is the hard part
13. Yeah. Maybe you have to do a little truss rod adjusting
14. Belgian beer hoegaarden ! I'm trying very very hard to be disciplined . Here's where I'm at ; I have a vester fretless bass ( light copy of a Warwick ) Saw the fretted equivalent on fleabay . Good price . Been relisted . Saw synths sides bass. You know the rest . Not sure if I can afford , no council tax/ water bill for 2 months , so maybe .. Saw Warwick corvette fretless in green . Not sure , but love colour . Someone help me Trying to hold on for few months
15. I think randy coven (rip) played one of these. The person who will have a heart attack over this , is ped.
16.
Ray , i know how your feeling i suffer massive buyers and sellers remorse but if its the right decision to let it go because the bass isn't working for you ... then its the right decision, I do the same with my "good bass" its not really right for me but i regret keeping it around because I dont play it enough over my cheapy jazz if you suddenly feel nostalgia for a telebass , but with a status twist... jump on the train or 281 to Kingston ill let you have a go on this .
Mmm,.. Got cash ....aahm...errr....
17. White label 12" jump in the fire . Test pressing . Met them in shades records in '85. Got all of them to sign it . If cliff was still alive , it wouldn't have been worth as much . Very very rare.
18. Yeah, I've heard that w.o.t. Must admit , I was surprised when I got it . I bought it from a shop in Germany in an Ebay bid, One band hated it, the other liked it . Never thought I'd get on with fender , as I'm a headless guy. But, that telecaster is something .
19. Thanks all. Really nice guy Phew. People eh?
20. Has my address. Poxy spellchecker
21. Thanks rich It's cash only . It just annoyed me that he won't say where he lives, yet he now hasn't address
22. Nice Geordie guy. He is sending his mate who lives in twickenham down to see me in a few mins . When I asked his mate 'whereabouts in twickenham'?' The only reply I got idle ' twickenham' He knows my address . I have both of their mobile numbers . I may have to take his car no. I may be over worrying . We will see
23. No need to bow out Lou;) I may have just opened a small can of worms here
