  1. This one @Andyjr1515? It's missing the pics now.
  2. "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's bass. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife's bass, nor his male or female XLR connectors, his amp or his pedal board, nor any gear that belongs to your neighbour. Just Rock What You Got and shake the mountains! " *The distinctly unauthorised EADG version.
  3. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 . Wikimedia. I wish it was, but this is mine. Less glamorous, but carries a lot more stuff.
  4. It's a shooting brake. 👍
  5. There's an M.Phil thesis in that.
  6. It's amusing to talk to my children in their late teens early 20s. They weigh in kg, measure in metres, drive in miles, run in km, drink in pints and have no idea what inches or ounces are. I measure as above, except I estimate people in feet and inches, babies in pounds and basses in kg.
  7. I was irrationally excited to play Em in a song last March 😁
  8. YT will apply all sorts of compression and eq. If your license allows then livestream a reference track that you can compare to the original, both on typical laptop/TV speakers and the church PA. If needs be you might need a separate feed or mix to the stream with different eq.
  9. 300 people allowed in church. Ah, those were the days!
  10. We will restart bands in November. The church is taking a very, very, cautious approach. Interesting responses from the different bands. One is desperate to get back in, play live warts and all. One wants to start with just a couple of members so that they can ensure they sound good live and streamed before they bring the rest in, and one leader just likes working in the studio and isn't in a hurry to get back. Frankly I want to be back playing, but it won't happen as I'm the person who has set up all the video and livestream, so until and unless I can hand that over I'll be behind the tech desks.

    SOLD

I couldn't read the image above, but here's a link to the review with larger images: http://statii.com/status_cats/reviews/6/index.html GLWTS, sad that it's in current circumstances 😢
  12. Do we know anyone who grew the tree for the wood and smelted the steel for the strings?
  13. This thread ^^^^ has a man rolling his own capacitors!!

    Oh my word...
  15. Congratulations on the baby! That colour looks much better on a musical instrument than it ever did on a car.
  16. How long is the queue? Is it long enough that if I join now and start saving, then I will be able to afford the bass at the end? A Milliways bass perhaps?
  17. Roger Waters. Played with Pink Floyd, tried to break up the band, failed, rejoined for the Live8 gig. Though we assume not as a full band member 😉
  18. The Squire is an very decent bass, as others have said. The Jag V12 also makes a wonderful noise 😀. Welcome aboard!
  19. Welcome aboard 😀 As a drummer and bassist, could you operate the kick and hi-hat with your feet while playing the bass? That would a) be awesome and b) make the band load-in much quicker. 😉
  20. Welcome aboard 😀 20 years in the garage, do basses age like wine I wonder? 🤔
  21. Actually it's a very clever system that lets you eq and pitch shift for every fret, thus ensuring perfect intonation regardless of tuning.
  22. That's cheered me up no end! Superb! Apart from the musicianship, she's clearly enjoying herself immensely, and Anthony Jackson's expression is just something else. Off to find more now, I have an afternoon of reading documents, so some classy music in the background will be good. Or a complete distraction.😁
  23. I agree with you on that!
  24. Routers seem to give rise to strong opinions for and against on the Build Diaries, so I figured a quick Vox Pop would be interesting to see what the majority think.
  25. That's a LOT of bass for a very reasonable price. GLWTS !
