1. It a very clever song and Graham is a big fan of dissonance, I like the way the chorus is in two seperate parts, the first is an extension of the verse, then the descending G, F#, E, D. I think they will reform soon.
2. Wow that's gorgeous! It looks brilliant with that shape. He's good is that Sugden, or Molly, as I call him.
3. Bump for a drop in price.
4. I've sent you a P.M. Steve.
5. For sale is my Avalon U5 preamp/D.I. It gives the most amazing, powerful and totally authentic representation of your bass to either a power amp, direct to a mixing desk, both, or straight into a sound card on a D.A.W. It has a very powerful set of preset eq's and has a superb range of features. I bought this a few months ago to try with my Bergantino IP310 and it was superb but I have since bought an Ampeg SVT IIP. The Avalon sounds incredible with all my basses but I want a valve based sound, so this is for sale. It has never been gigged and is still in its original box, it's immaculate and the price includes postage. Thomann do them for £359, so I think £69 cheaper (£10 insured delivery) is a good deal as it's mint. I would love anyone to come and try it before buying it, just to hear how great it is. I don't want to drive or drop it off, so collection or delivery is the best solution. I will take PayPal, cash or cheque. It will be in its original box, inside another, encased in bubble wrap, (check my feedback for details). I am also putting out a feeler for my Bergantino IP310, only to see if there is any interest. If you are interested, please P.M. me or go through the forum.
6. Little tip for screwing in machinehead screws, or any that are tight, put the tip of the screw into some wax, then screw away. Tip two, put a very hot soldering iron on to the stump of the screw and leave it there for 10 secs, this will make it expand and when it cools, it will have left a tiny space around itself. Get the finest Dremel disc and carefully put a slot in the top of the stump, then carefully unscrew with a jewellers screwdriver.
7. Boy or girl?
8. Hi Lee some little crackers there. The Jazz is a beauty.
9.
shall we take this to pm ste?
Call me strange but that sounds like sex talk.
10. I went for the flat fingerboard and asymetric profile. It's very comfortable to play and sounds good everywhere on the board. Mine is the ACG Red Setter and yours is the Cheeky Pup.
11. How long has Alan said it will take? Soon, you will have a younger brother/sister to this,
12. I have used Boss pedals for years, in the 80's and 90's and I can say, hand on heart, that the GT6B (which I own) is a faithful representation of all the pedals I have heard, as used by myself and guitarists I have played with. I would not sell mine for less than £180. To buy a seperate delay, chorus, distortion, wah wah, compressor, amp modelling, etc etc pedals of this quality would set you back £350. Buy it before it becomes a collecters item.
13. Good God, that was the deal of the century!!! You lucky right-handed mutant bastards.
14. Have you bought a house? Did you decorate, get a new kitchen or bathroom, build an extension? Why were you not happy with what you originally bought? Heart transplant my arse - it's a f***ing bass guitar. A nice one though and still for sale Brilliant! It's a 600 quid bass with good upgrades for a crackin' price, it's not a '63 Jazz F.F.S. Give the Pompey dude your money and walk away with a gem. I dread to think what kind of flak I'm going to get if I sell the things I'm thinking of.
15.
lol i know i need to mate, i just love em tbh... plus im bored at night nowt to do
Go out and find something freaky to do.
16. If you're out there Steve get in touch, I'm sure you could come to some arrangement to pay your debts off and carry on building neat cabs, am I wrong? From what I have seen and heard about these cabs they seem to do the biz.
17. I went in there to try some of the new Trace combos, after the assistant had given me all the BS I plugged in and nothing, on both of them, they were both knackered! He then said that he could get one in for me within a week but only if I was interested in buying one. Not one single lefty bass. Out of about 200 guitars on the walls, I counted about 15 that were american or original country of origin. I think Liverpool for its size has the worst music shops in the country.
18. How do you find the East pre in the MM? Gorgeous collection by the way.
19. I'll be very suprised if this is here by tomorrow. Credit crunch or not this is a brilliant offer, (you bloody righties get all the gravy).
20.
Thunderfunk, AE210 and AE112 or Ampeg SVT3PRO and Epifani UL410. They all sound so good that some nights it's difficult to decide which one to take! It really is a good time to be a bass player.
Hot-diggidy-dawg that is sweet.
21.
that starchild of yours moo is absolutely stunning! more pics everyone!
Calm down Marcus!
22. Westone Thunder basses?
23. Oh that's nice. I bet that sounds amazing.
24. Ampeg SVT IIP preamp into Bergantino IP310 1000w powered cab, pre = ?, cab = 85lbs, so the Avalon U5 may be for sale.
25. I recently did a set up on one of these and was amazed at how good the fundamental tone of it was, it's a great bass and a great price.
