1. What ever you do, don't get it repaired, as you will blow your warranty. Be cool and give them a couple more days, I'm sure they will see you right.
2.
How come it sounds like he played on at the end even though he stopped?
Ghosts in the Machine?, something dodgy if you ask me.
3. Ahhhh, the exuberance of youth.
4. It's a beaut but what do you mean by a lighter coloured neck?
5. Is Kalim in the Tech owners club? We wait with baited breath.
6. Stick to a 5 string.
7. That Sir, is amazing, what a result. I know how much hard work is put into building a guitar and I know exactly what you mean about using the spoke shaves, a little goes a long way. When I was doing fret stones everyday, I use to pray for 20 fret basses to come into the shop, as you loose the will to live after profiling, then polishing fret after fret and rubbing down lacquer through the grades, but I'm a perfectionist and really buzzed when you could get the finished neck or body like glass. IMHO custom built basses are worth every penny, the hours and hours of work and skill that go into them are mind boggling, that's why you never see a rich custom builder. Tell me more about the neck-dropping incident.
8. I thought I recognised him, I remeber him from A1 back in the mists of time, he was a really nice guy who was always friendly and a bit of a character. He could play like that 15+ years ago.
9. I'd have loved this as a small, rehearsals cab.

gone

I f***ing love the Bad Seeds and Grinderman. My best friend who died four years ago, loved and looked like Nick Cave.
11. "If they were perfect, it would be boring (like old Citroens - I use that analogy a lot!)" I once owned a Citroen BX19, what a pile of sh*te, comfy but parts were astronomical.
12. It should be an easy fix, who will you be taking it to?
13. Sei basses don't come with cases? Hiscox are great, not too heavy.
14. How much are they going for? 150 lbs, a shade lighter than an Ampeg and if it's a lot cheaper then it could be a good buy for the kind of bassist who doesn't mind lugging 11 stone of cab around. Kustom always price their gear competitively but I think JHS would have to import it so it could get costly.
15.
Handy trolley to help moving it around too
You beat me to that one.
16. nice
17.
I'm shouting because I've just come home from playing through this beast. So what we have here is the brand new Matamp Eighty 8x10 and matching 4x10 (Forty?) in red tolex with stainless steel grill, the 8x10 is an 8x10 and not 2 4x10's with a single piece of wood between them they have ports internally for the sound to pass between the 2x10's same in the 4x10 except the 4x10 is also rear ported and the 8x10 is sealed so the 4x10 is as loud as the 8x10 and these things just cream my Ashdown ABM 8x10 and 2 EA CXL112's. I can't imagine anything louder than this or what the hell you would use it for. The 8x10 has a switch on the back so it can be wired in stereo or mono so I'm using the Mesa 400+ into the 4x10 at 8ohms (The cab is switchable to 2ohms so it is an all round stand alone) which is slaved into the Mesa Strategy 400 where I send the left and right to the top and bottom of the 8x10 again at 8ohms each so the transformers aren't working hard at all This was such an amazing tone and so FREAKIN LOUD I ended up unplugging it and just using the 8x10 and 400+ but the tone was just perfect I'm finally happy with my sound and I have all the headroom I'll ever need for the bigger shows. I should be getting a 3u drawer for the rack sometime this week which will fill it except I just need like 1 1/2u rack blanking plates to fill the bit between the 400+ and the Strategy. So yeah wanted to share and show off so expect this in all the Rigs of Doom etc threads
OH YES!!!!! That's what we like, a big f*** off rig. I like it ! Get all those lads on Talkbass creaming their chinos.
18. This seems like a good way to get a 4 ohm (as opposed to 6 ohm) 6x10 set up, with added flexibility. This will make somebody happy.
19. Bargain alert!

21.
Steve then sold it to me. I think (!) that he was having cold feet by the time I appeared at his front door, but he went through with the sale like a gent. Just fabulous.
It's true, I was feeling sick as soon as I saw Owen get out of the car, especially as the wife said that I didn't have to sell it, JUST AFTER OWEN HAD PAID FOR IT . Owen was a gent with a couple of cool basses and preamps, the Demeter he brought along was nuts! And he drives the car that I want.
22.
Mrs Tinman has bought some bass gear?
Superb
23. That rig is sick and the basses are trick.
