He does so much crazy stuff and the Arusha Accord are a prog mathcore band! #1 member in the band by far.
I f***ing detest that crappy pigeon hole, "Mathcore".
2. Great pics my friend.
3. Most cabs give little out below 80 hz, boost your 120, 240 a little, cut your 60 and keep everything else flat, or better still keep the amp flat and boost the bass. Get your cab as near to your ear as you can, when I use my Glock 2x12, I always get it at shoulder height, when I use my 6x10 I don't have any problems. I like to hear and feel the bass but finding the right on stage sound can take years.
4.
Nah it doesn't. Think of any band ever that you ever liked a lot, think about what they wore and what they did. Were they all total individuals? Of course not. I remember being a big Fishbone fan in the early '90s, they got a slot on Jools Holland in 1993-ish, and I was really messy on mushrooms that night but I made sure I saw it. They had two front-men (it was after Chris Dowd had left), a trumpet player Walter who was this huge guy, and a sax player Angelo who was a much smaller. They swapped outfits so the trumpet player's suit was tiny on him, and he played a piccolo trumpet one-handed, whereas the sax player's suit draped a few inches over his hands and feet, and he was playing a baritone sax that dragged on the floor. They had eachother's bowler hats on too. It was just hilarious to look at. Image can be well useful.
I'm sure you were watching Acker Bilk, those mushrooms sure can be tricky little devils. Uniforms can be so powereful, look at this. 5. You're welcome dear boy, now tie your shoe laces, you scruffy urchin.
6.
I held it but did not play it! Dawn was not keen on me touching it!!
I'm suprised Rob lets you anywhere near the factory.
7.
What is this 'downsizing' of which you speak? My 6x12 is arriving tomorrow. Doom
Did you buy the Tech? Excellent choice, watch out for the tweeter they fry like no ones business.
8. Great technique and a cool guy, very nasty sound, I like it.
9. Maybe sell the pickups on ebay and get £250 for the bass.
10. Heared the same rig at rehearsal studios last Monday, turned my head, as i was getting the drummers gear in (door to the room was open). Nice chap was playing a Spector through it, it sounded lush.
11. Why Ampeg never got this sorted is a mystery.
12. I'll PM you Sir, I'm sure it will be amazing.
13. Oh no, going so soon?
14.
Not in a huge hurry so take your time. If you want to try it out it's at The Bass Gallery in Camden. They have it up at £3000 right now (set to come down anyway pretty soon) but because it's a commision sale I'm still free to sell it myself. Get back to me. When you have a definite offer to make it would normally be done via PM.
I'll be playing your bass on Tuesday, looking forward to it and the Clifton EUB. Haven't told the missus yet.
15. Enjoy your hols then get a good luthier to build your ultra light, chambered double neck bass, play it for a few months then put it under the bed or sell it for 25% of what you paid for it. A tough lesson but a lesson non the same.
16.
Metallic green?! Looks like its Sherwood Green over Fiesta Red as well, so he's pretty much had a custom finish stripped off? That's so wrong.
Imagine what it would look like if the colour were still original, mmmmmmmmmmmm.
17.
Just got back from a really, really disappointing Morrissey concert here in Vienna. Probably the worst live sound I´ve ever experienced (including my own gigs ), uninspired performance, lame songs. Crap, really, sorry to say. But I thoroughly enjoyed the (all too brief) set by the support act, Doll & the Kicks from Bristol. Much better sound and very uplifting, hard driving music. The bassist played a Fender Jazz through a Markbass rig and sounded great. Anybody know them? Kickass live act IMHO, poor old Morrissey didn´t stand a chance...
Were you on medication, has your partner just left you, or were you just there at a gig for the analysis of the bass sound? Joking.
18. Done some work for a basschatter on a fretless Les Evans, what a great bass, my wife even said that it sounded great when I was trying it out. Amazing price too.
19. Come on Dan, spill them beans.
20. It looks like a P bass with an old Peavey headstock.
21. What kind of music do you play, what is your gender, ethnic origin, age, dispossable income, do you play live or are you a hobbiest.
22. Big kisses to Luna.
23. Japanese Fenders all the way. My Jazz is amazing, superb fretting, great weight, plays really well. Tried a lot of Mex ones before getting my Jazz and not one of them came close.
