    Not me, I love it and can’t imagine my life without bass, I still play pretty much every day and when I’m not I’m either watching YouTube or browsing basses

    Before I explore has anyone tried recording with this, do you need a computer or could it be done on the iPad , ideally into GarageBand as that’s all I use for recording

    Hi, I haven’t myself but a few people I know have used Armstrong pickups and a few people here I believe have too

    Yes I’ve got one of those, they mute the strings quite heavily , which is good if you’re looking for that but I found it a bit too much, i did lots of experimenting with different types and sometimes the foam under the strings at the bridge does a good job

    Thanks for that info Paul , mine is 2 years old now , I don’t know much about the technical side and the manual says these are in my one Preamp: Tube (2 x 12AX7) Driver Tubes: (1 x 12AX7, 1 x 12AU7) Power Amp: (4 x 6L6GC) RMS Power Handling: 100 Watts RMS Speaker Outputs: 1 x 8 ohm, 2 x 4 ohm, 2 x 2 ohm

    Pretty sure the 4-String Gauges are .043, .056, .070, .100, on the Long scale Brian

    Couldn’t you have got the original ones rewound or wasn’t that possible

    If you could get a bit of the material the case liner has would work too , I’ve had a few nitro basses hanging on Hercules hangers with no problems

    You could be right , I’m no expert either but it looks right to me, it’s 4 ply and has what I think is an aluminium shielding plate on the back

    If all is working ok and there’s no problem with the neck it’s a nice find

    It’s worth experimenting with a few different offcuts of wood before gluing to get the closest match you can

    If you don’t mind me saying, the block is showing end grain so won’t match, you will find it hard to match exactly but will get closer if the grain is running the same way 🙂
