  1. Yeah he’s a great player and he’s got some nice basses, the 2 I like is the Left 1975 Right 1960
  2. I listened to an album today that I wasn’t familiar with, it’s by the Mighty Travellers and called Black Black Minds , it was out around 1977 and when I looked deeper it was sly and Robbie backing some of the songs , this was around the time of the Aggrovators and this one is backed by The High Times Band apparently , and Chris Meredith on bass I believe
  3. You did great there Dave, I had the notes down once but fell to pieces with it up to speed
  4. Your cover of rhythm stick is so good, I’ve attempted that many times but failed 😁
  5. For me it’s Earl Falconer, he’s a great bass player but certainty since UB40 parted ways they are dreadful, I’ve seen them many times and been backstage ,Signing Off is a great album and their best work ever
  6. Nice looking, I don’t think it will be there long
  7. Hi Raymond https://www.basschat.co.uk/forum/22-items-wanted-no-trades/

  14. These are such a good amp and a great price, I take mine to the studio, GLWYS
  15. And in an interview guy says the jazz used to belong to John Entwistle, very rare colour too
  16. I too have had hundreds ,and still buying them ,although I’m more selective now ,but one bass I pick up the most and won’t be parting with any time soon is my 71 precision , it just does everything I need and is a warm sounding one so it’s great for reggae and I dabble a bit in Motown, doesn’t stop me eyeing up a 64 P though 😁
  17. I’ve got quite a few fenders with the threaded saddles, I’ve never gone wider than 19-20mm , I’d say you could go slightly more without the string moving
  18. Definitely, you have to draw the line somewhere 😬
  19. New mixed one out from Johnny Clarke - dub my world, the more I listen to it the more I like it
  20. He’s got a YouTube channel, you could maybe message him on there, I’ll see if I can find it jezza
  21. Have you spoken to John
  22. 10CC I think 😁, not many days go by where I don’t pick up my bass, I think it’s good to keep the brain and fingers moving, sometimes I’ll learn something random that I’ve just heard on the radio that I like the Bassline too
  23. I spend most of my time learning songs that I possibly won’t play, but you never know ,I look at as I’m widening my bass vocabulary
  24. Sounds great, I like the P bass muted sound myself ,and nice playing
