  1. Ok 😂, whereabouts in London
  2. Thanks very much Q, I’ll definitely do that
  3. I’ve seen a few places mentioned, exactly what venue is the London one
  4. Proper relay 😁
  5. Nice one Dale, glad you got it
  6. A couple of nice easy listening ones tonight , has to be Gregory Isaacs with a my love dub mix and an early one from Patrick Alley around 1977, I really like the vocals on this, reminds me of another song but I can’t place it yet
  7. I’ve got one fitted to one of my jazzes which was an experiment really, I don’t play hard or dig in as they say but I quite like it, once you’ve found the right height which is close to the strings I can’t really think why you would want it adjustable
  8. I’ve got a B2A, they really are a great bass, I’m guessing the FL is fretless lined, very cool, good luck Pete
  9. I’m not familiar with those strings as I only use flats, but shouldn’t a new bass work with any strings, I certainly wouldn’t be talking it apart testing stuff, I’d ask for a return and new one, good luck
  10. It’s just me and I’m sure it’s ok, but I wouldn’t put meths or lighter fuel anywhere near my basses, really scares me
  11. I use the Gibson pump polish occasionally on my vintage basses, it does leave a slightly shiny finish which buffs up well with the microfibre cloth, and not sticky, maybe worth a try
  12. When you have a bit more info you could always ask here or in the vintage fenders thread , there’s a lot of knowledgeable people there who would be happy to assist if you needed, good luck
  13. Very nice, really great work, loving that neck with the blocks
  14. There’s a box on the right hand side of the pictures to tick and a bin comes up
  15. Out of curiosity what are the pickups and neckplate dates
  16. Before I had the markbass 15s I had 2 Trace Elliot 15s , they did the reggae /dub very good ,super deep, I should have kept those
  17. The sound systems and dub camps still use 18s, the Big Ben sounds like a good idea to me and I don’t think they are overly expensive now , I used markbass 15s for a long time and they really do the deep low end well, I use a barefaced big baby now which sounds great too, I’ve always fancied the Barefaced Dubster , that would be perfect if you could get one, not sure if this helps mr B
  18. Welcome Bilbo
  19. Very nice and a great bass , looks more like Lake Placid Blue to me, but I’ve seen many different shades
